@curtis because Skins is an artsy teenage british television show which I believe you would love. I live in America but I found this show from a friend and since then I have gotten all of my friends to watch it. We're addicted. It's full of sex and humor and art and neon colors and it's the most incredible show I have ever seen. I just thought if you gave it a chance you'd appreciate it. This isn't the actual show though. It's an "unseen" clip.

Donc la fille essayait d'aider son frère, mais son frère avait soif et il a commencé a manger du gazon. La petite fille pouvait l'aider et le problème s'aggrandissait. Le frère arretait pas de vomir il avait pas de limonade. Je pense que la limonade c'est une métaphore pour l'amoure de ses parents et le gazon représente la drogue:)

i think that the roles may be switched, i think that maybe the girl in this story symbolizes tony, and the boy symbolizes the girl. everyone cares about tony and he is really smart, while effy is ignored. and in the end the girl (meaning tony) saves the boy (meaning effy) from doing self harming things and they walk away from disaster together.

I think the lemonade is a metaphor for love! her parents focused all their love on her and not on tony.This put immense pressure on effy and made her feel isolated,ie.the bottle! drinking the lemonade means accepting her parents aspirations for her yet attempting to go her own way

Lemonade represents all the freedom Effy has since nobody cares enough to stop her from the self harming things she does. The girl (Effy) is inside the bottle w/ all that freedom where she will self harm & is desperate to get out for herself & for her brother Tony. Finally she drinks it all meaning Effy finally went too far with Josh, until she "pops out" & her parents notice. By doing this not only will her parents recognise her, but it will be a wake up call for Tony hence "saving her brother"

My interpretation was that Effy is the girl in the bubble with everybody trying to protect her all of the time. tony is the boy on the outside, left to fend for himself while everybody focusses on and nurtures (ie the lemonade) effy. Tony is lonely on the outside and doesn't relaly know how to take care of himself. Effy finally breaks out of her bubble (spencer, josh, etc) and tony saves himself by saving her.

Tony is allowed to manipulate the people around him for years. He gets deeper and deeper in it, until he finds himself trapped: the bottle. He sees Effy on the outside, being fucked over while their parents ignore it, and knows he has to save her but doesn't know how; all he knows how to do is drink lemonade. So he goes back to it, doing it more and more, until it comes into a climax (Josh) and he breaks the bottle, allowing him to save her.
