Starfish Trelawny in Jamaica ~ now Breezes Trelawny

im 11 years old and im going to beezus (the starfish) in February im going with my whole family (22 people) i have done some research and this hotel looks GREAT!!! im so exited to go the only thing is there is sooooo much to do right in your resort my family wants to do 2 excursions zip-lining and the lazy river do u think we will be able to fit those two in... because me and my cousins want to do the traipse

i went there and the cleaners pinched things out of our room ( DOLLARS WENT MISSING, SHOES,PHONE AND DIGETAL CAMERA) and the manger didnt do any think the HOTEL IS SHIT

only outside attractions are rafting on the martha brae and glistening waters.. if u want to see anything else be prepared for a long drive. AI's keep u staying at the resort for the food and drink u paid for. if u want to see JA stay in negril. the beaches @treylawny are quite windy ..

Is the nude beach still at this resort? We were there in 2004 when it was a Super clubs resort. Now it is Breezes. Does anyone who has been there recently know if it still has the small nude beach on the east end of the beach. When we were there it was part of the resort but discrete and behind a bamboo fence. We are heading back there in a couple of months. Thanks!

well there was no nude beach when we were there in 2oo7 the bamboo fence seperates the locals from the hotel.

Ask for Tallest or Wonny(leon) tell em Rick sent ya!! its not a tour unless its a tour by locals

Yes JCVDUDE due to the tropical location, the temperature and humidity builds up throughtout the day and start pouring dueing the evening expecially over the moutain area but the rainy season is in May - June and October

I didn't really have a good time. The food was bland. The staff was okay. Could be a little cleaner and little more updated. Please do not eat at the Casablanca. With the ambiance and all, I thought we were going to have some good food. The crabcakes weren't crabcakes at all. It was crab flavored bread. Overall you have to make it fun. Perhaps I'm comparing it with the Sandals resort in which I shouldn't. Two different classes.

Our family's been to Starfish Trelawny twice and LOVED it both times - so much to do, awesome staff, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful setting, kudos for the food, just super! We loved the recreation staff and the fun stuff they had planned every night! Thumbs up for Starfish Trelawny!

actually the truth is that the sea is no more than 2 ft deep for about mile out lol..... the hotel sits on a shelf. It is an average resort ......... I prefer the Ritz Carlton and Half Moon.

Actually it is deeper than that. I was wind surfing out past the island and it gets quite deep. We took a boat out to the reef to snorkel and even there it was 6-7 ft deep.

that isn't always the case though, hence the pool. If you go again take a boat out fishing. Trelawney sits on a shelf but once you reach the drop it is one of the deepest parts of the ocean...they call it the Trelawney basin and it is great for fishing...... wahoo, tuna, sailfish, king mackrel, marlin.

i loved my stay the waterslides ok for kids good food good entertainment lots of activitys and shopping good bargins with the locals. the beach is ok on the right side but the pool are good lots of games and slot machines

It's an excellent resort. Bad points: A few of the vendors on the private beach can be very pushy. At hotel check in they wanted our credit card details but we refused, then alteratively they wanted a big cash deposit and we refused. Good points: is that it's a massive resort with plenty to do, lots of people so it's easy to blend in for shy people, a big selection of inclusive food and it's a very good base to arrange day trips at a reasonable price.

Its a great place if you want booze for breakfast lunch and dinner and all the noise and grief that goes with it but if you want a safe, fun beach holiday for the kids then try the Sunset Jamaica Grand at Ocho Rios.....head and shoulders above this hovel!!At least five other parties were making similar complaints when we were there so it wasn't just us being picky! NEVER AGAIN!!! Love Jamaica but this resort sucks!!!

Just came back from there (spent 2 weeks over Christmas ).....what a dump!

Filthy beach, broken glass all over the place, the volley ball pool filtration was broken so that was filthy too but rather than close it and fix it they carried on using it, full of scum, dirt, plastic cups, litter, cigarette butts and God knows what germs. My kids had their cash taken off them by some scumbags in the games arcade.

i leave in 4 days (i arrive on december 5th at 2pm) The only hot place I have been is florida and it was still really hot. Question: Do they have normal surf boards opposed to just wind surfers?

I had never been either before Joe and I went last year. It's very hot. Even though right now is there winter, it's hot like our summer - in the 30's and really doesn't get much cooler at night. Even when it rains, and it did rain for a couple hours each day for us, it's still warm and just the best. You're going to love it! The ocean is so warm, you can just swim in it all day. It's like a very warm bath. Are you staying at the Starfish?

@edbelfor2 We are from Ontario and spend every Christmas at the Starfish. We have been to a few resorts in Jamacia and like this one the best. Its kind of laid back,but partys do happen when you least expect it. When you go,take a walk up the street to Jerrys bar and tell him Bill and Heather sent you. If you really want to party and go nuts,try Hedonism II in Negril
