Fabuleux témoignage de l'inimaginable variété du répertoire de Horne .... Cette puissante incarnation nous fait regretter d'autant plus qu'elle n'ait pas poursuivi et tenté le rôle a la scène .... ou tout au moins Isolde !!

habituellement je deteste cette voix : ici elle est tres bien.

Je n'aime pas ses accents virils mais la ...je la trouve convaincante.

This was wonderful sans the highest notes; personally prefer to hear a soprano singing Brunnhilde, Flagstad, Nilsson, Varnay, Farrell, Norman and Jones; but this was a decidedly terrific rendition of the Immolation; strong lower notes, exciting middle range, in the end, Horne still amazes as Brunnhilde, goes to show a good mezzo can sing this role (like today's Urmana and Voigt)

Strangely enough, she had THE ideal voice for this role! Who else is capable of producing all the notes equally in all the registers like she does? Love the coulour of her voice in this repertoire.
