  • This piece may be "easy" but it sure as hell isn't easy to play it as well as he does. Excellent clarity of sound!

  • flawless guitar playing

  • I love this song this is the first song I learned when I started playing :)

  • Does anyone know who wrote this song?

  • i love this piece of music, nice job.

  • @intiago im not sure what it's called but just rest your finger on the 12th fret, dont push down at all just rest it. Then strum and it makes that noise. It works in other places too like on the 5th fret. I hope we're talking about the same thing lol

  • @Sean0van Yah exactly :) Do you know what it's called?

  • Comment removed

  • @intiago In spanish is called "armónico".

  • What do you call type of stroke he does at the end? The one that rings out really loudly. I've been wondering how to do that for forever!

  • @intiago It's called a "harmonic". If you place your finger lightly on the string exactly half way along (over the metal of fret 12) and play a note, the string acts as if your finger's a bridge, so it vibrates at the 12-fret frequency. The 5th fret is a quarter of the way along, so its harmonic is another octave higher. Try it all over the fretboard.

  • @howardsinclair Neat! I will try it, thanks!

  • why cant these classical guitar assholes learn rhythm and not speed up and slow down all the time

  • @looklikestalin because their changes in tempos makes the piece one of their modifications

and therefore, they have a technical accomplishment there

  • wooow esto si es tener clase ... esto es lo mejor que pueda aber ... felisidades esta genial....

  • Hermosa, me ha gustado, saludos desde México!!!

  • @intersanctum yeah unfortunately the only thing she liked about me was that song xD

  • @chemorro95 Play it over and over again xD And throw in Paganinis romanze sometimes :D

  • In the part that says Enter your text here

we have to write SO FUCKIN GOOD!?

  • btw did anyone notice that he did the vibrato like it was a violin?

  • @delawarefreeman It's a harmonic. He plucks the three strings, e b and g and gently lifts off his fingers so it makes a higher octave sound. Look it up if you have to

  • If only I played Guitar...

  • The man in the video is only 30 years old. The only reason he looks old is cause of all of the women he got with that song.

  • No music is "easy".

  • mm. Very nicely played and a very full rich tone. Well done.

  • I Think He Plays This Song a little Bit Faster...

  • @nocektengokponeraki Yea I think that too~

  • @nocektengokponeraki too fast

  • @nocektengokponeraki yep he does faster tempo that's all

  • @nocektengokponeraki It doesn't matter if the guitarist plays it faster. He is playing it with passion.

  • @nocektengokponeraki really? But don't you think it is a fantastic change?

  • @kusumikoharufans Well In My Opinion Dude You Can Think Everything You Want :) Music My Friend Is A Beautiful And Open Art ;) But In My Opinion Its Better A Little More Slow You Know..

  • omg i can only play 1 min of what he's playing.. and 10 times slower.. help:|

  • @JhTvMj practice alot, it took me a few months to learn it. If you want to I could send you the tabs if you don't have them. And please for the love of music play it with your heart. This man doesn't play with his heart.

  • @LucaGroenendijk i learned it by ear, its a litle slopy but its something :P

  • My God....I can't get enough of this video.... Amazing.... Wonderful.... How can anyone play like that....?

  • 8 of which COULD HAVE COMPOSED the piece. With this enlightening knowledge, please re-read my year old comment. lol, and since this subject has been brought back to me a year later, Yeppes is a terrible liar. Beautiful song though, playing it drops my blood pressure. Been a while though. Great performance in the video.

  • Walk into a Guitar Center near you, and while all those other snot nosed guitar hero playing losers are shredding some eardrum gouging metal, start playing this piece. All other GC patrons will love you and think you are the greatest. This is a true classic.

  • @AbrahamVanHasselhoff whats wrong with metal, but your right about people playing guitar hero, why play that shit when you could learn to play a proper guitar, there are loads of people who like heavy metal and other types of guitar styles, im one of them, i like all types of guitar styles, the more styles you learn the better your playing, metal is quite hard to play, you should try it, you might be supprised, you might like playing it

  • @vikingsbeard I spent many, many years playing metal. I agree that some of it is extremely difficult to play. However, many people think classical guitar is easy as well. I was just making a point that music stores are overrun with a younger generation of players that think louder and faster is better, when in truth, it is not. It is refreshing to hear an acoustic player, or for that matter, a jazz player. They seem to stand out in a sea of distorted sweep picking.

  • @AbrahamVanHasselhoff anyone who thinks classical is easy is a moron lol

  • @vikingsbeard Agreed! Some have the technical chops but interpretation, dynamics, tone, and rhythm are a whole other story! You have to spend lots of time on the classical guitar!

  • @CarlosMacMartin a life time maybe lol

  • @vikingsbeard That's true! I like this quote:

"Does perfection exist? It depends on what a persons definition of perfection is.And

because you can't quite reach perfection is the reason why you continue training until the day you die." Japanese Kendo Master

  • @vikingsbeard Well, classical and metal occasionally overlap, as we all know too well. However, TRUE classical musicians are equally talented, if not more so. They are definitely more disciplined. I know there are metal players out there who are dedicated as well, so please don't get me wrong. It's just not as common in the metal genre to see that level of musicianship.

  • @vikingsbeard no need to lol man. Classical is hard for all non-prodigies :)

  • @vikingsbeard or beethoven,

  • Im 13 and i can play this has i have do play this to complete my grade 4 exam

  • @jamstarii ah...where are u from?

  • @weiyi1123 London

  • im 16 and halfway through the process of learning this song and im lovin it so far

  • nice

  • just lernted song everyone so impressed

  • I love this song, I remember my country when I listen it, and I feel homesick (there´re other song whith similar name, its called "Romanza del concertino", the composer is Salvador Bacarisse, please listen it....)

  • I'm 13 and this song is really easy to play fast.

  • @betweenbirds I learned it when I was 13 too! :D It's awesome, one of my first songs I learned. My uncle is from Spain and he teaches me stuff like this, it's so awesome!

  • @betweenbirds wow you must be the next paco de lucia or somethinhg

  • I had a tab book in early 90's by him. Awesome video.

  • Look everyone this may look hard to play but it isn't I'm only 11 and I can play it WOW

  • @cirlywirlyp Yes Man! It Is Really Simple(;

  • @cirlywirlyp yes, this one is very easy, it looks hard but...the true is other, haha

  • @cirlywirlyp Age actually has nothing to do with being able to play this particular song.

  • @cirlywirlyp Same here:D I'm eleven too, and I can play "Romanza" and Led Zeppelins "Stairway to heaven" :)

Also I can play "Yesterday" from The Beatles :P

  • @PunkGirl0033 Its great to start playing young i didn't start til 12 and its taken me a while to be good at hard rock

  • @DaJesusFreak808970 ._. iam 18 and i just started... Q.Q

  • excellent !!!!!!!!!!,,,,it's amazing ,,,,XD

  • good

  • increible!! si señor...

  • WAY to fast, thats not even near of being the original romanza, stupid benbolt, only after he plays the Em (1:01) the song is that fast, before its slow and ROMANTIC

  • nice video... check out this AMAZING version of romanza....

u can look it up as "romanza by gonzalo at the talent show" ---> ull thank me haha

  • beautiful song , and easy to play :)

  • beautiful

  • Can't wait till I can play this fluently, I can play the beginning part no problem, the bar 7 used to throw me off but I got that down, and I can play Russian romance no problem.........Guess im a late bloomer, I only took official classical guitar lessons 3 months ago, and got a nylon string guitar 2 weeks ago.

  • Well done! I love this song!

  • man i am getting a girl with this song i am this close to getting her

  • @chemorro95

YOU BASTARD! maybe you can put a video on how to play if yer that good.

  • @jrawkswow bastard wow im a bastard? you dont habe to play very good to make a song beautiful its the song itself

  • @chemorro95 THEN SHOW MEH!

  • @chemorro95 quite the opposite actually, in my opinion

  • @Jerfanian Its a beautiful song and yes the one who plays it can play it better but its a song so beautiful that gets to you its in you it moves you. You can play it better but you can´t make it more beautiful than when something is dedicated to you.Its not the gift that matters its that the person got something for you what matters :) and yes there may be good players like Al Di Meola and Paco de lucia but like we say here in mexico ''A caballo regalado no le veas los dientes''

  • @chemorro95

    What'd you mean?

  • @chemorro95 good luck :)

  • (((that stupid bitch it"spoopyccoopy5))..whatever i LOVE that song!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • your either seein' things or your just about as stupid as they get...

  • loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it

  • actually, it's Romanza D'amour. And the true composer is not certain. There are actually 6 musicians claiming copyrights of which I'm not convinced that any of them are the original composer. It has many names and one of the historical names is Spanish Romance (Romanza Espanola). So don't go bagging on someone when you don't know what you're talking about.

  • @calhills1 actually they are 8 of them... :)

  • @calhills1 My guitar teacher once wrote the whole piece out by hand from memory and also said that it's called

Romanza de Amor. I too wonder who composed it. Reminds me of Estudio in E Minor by Francisco Tarrega.

  • no one really knows who made it though right?

  • This song is old and its original authorship is contested

I read some kind of article on it not long ago, but I can't seem to find anything now. Nor anything on Antonio Rovira

  • This is really cool. Played very differently to what I've heard it

  • sounds very Mediterranean

  • whoa he plays the second part differently.

  • The author was ben Bolt. he wrote lagrima as well

  • Lolorz....

  • That's impossible. This song is from Spain and was discovered in the 1800's

  • this sounds like Spanish Romance, by an anonymous 19th century composer

  • that is what it is

  • you are 100% right..it's also known as Romanza Antiqua

  • Real name for this piece: Romance anónimo

  • I believe this song is either grade 3 or grade 2 at the classical level

  • So my guitar teacher gave me this song yesterday, and said we are having a test on it friday. This is for my grade 11 guitar class at school. May god help me xD Im a rock guitarist trying to do classical haha

  • :| you can't get grade 11. Only goes up to grade 8.

  • Do the words "GUITAR CLASS IN SCHOOL" mean anything to you? I have a course in school, im in grade 11, and my class is for grade 11s, people in the age group and 16 and 17.....

  • Ah.... you're American. Lol, I live in England and we don't have grades at school so I assumed you meant Grade 11 qualification in guitar. =]

  • rofl, yes yes indeed I am american, i was referring to schooling not Musical qualifications haha xD I should have made it clearer. But yea, i have my grade 34 in guitar...................

Yea in england you ahve years. So like... id be in year 11 ( i tihnk)

  • you prob can but whoever made you pay for grade ten just saw you coming didnt they. someone got coned ; )

  • maestrooo¡¡

  • There are some boobs in this video! Sweet!

  • I played this song today, but my speed's nowhere close to this! Looks like I have some work to do.
