  • That's a parhelic circle! You should consider yourself happy to have seen this, for it's a very rare phenomenon.

  • where?

  • thats amazing one!

  • yo dog, whats a sun dog, dog?

  • A bizarre but harmless phenomenom. Easy to see why such things provoked panic hundreds of years ago. Simply here there's the Sun, two Sundogs, and a so-called counter-Sun

  • wowwwww

  • it happened in thailand few days ago as well

  • @katasb GET OUT OF TOWN..ur serious.this just happen to you guys..u saw it..can u explain it??

  • "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field, ... The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the Word of our God stands forever." (Isaiah 40:6,8)

  • @Hesuku Fuck you.

  • "Holy, holy, holy

    is the Lord God Almighty,

who was, and is, and is to come.

To the only God our Savior

be glory, majesty, power and authority,

    through Jesus Christ our Lord,

before all ages, now and forevermore!

    Amen." (Revelation 4:8, Jude25)

  • @Hesuku Shut the fuck up about your ancient, FICTIONAL, beliefs. I truly feel sorry for anyone who actually preoccupies themselves with such nonsense. How could you trust a book that has been written by (imperfect) humans and then translated hundreds of times through many generations by (imperfect) HUMANS!

Religion was born of FEAR and INSECURITY from the FACT that none of us know where we're going or what we're doing in this ocean of CHAOS. Grow up!

  • @amsterdamob It's TRUE that humans are imperfect and I can't blame you for being ignorant to religions, which was put up by imperfect humans, and the books therein were written by imperfect humans also. Then why are you so mad about what Hesuku wrote?? If you're really ignorant, then YOU TOO should SHUT THE FUCK UP. Just ignore it. The fact that you talk like that was because there is doubt in your heart. Well, you can say whatever. I just hope that the day you meet God won't be so regretful. :p

  • @crazzb

I'm not sure how you could have deduced an ignorance of religion from 2 paragraphs of text, so you've apparently made an enormous assumption.

My anger is from the sustained astonishment that there is still a sizable portion of the population that believes in fairy tales.

Your comment is as full of hypocrisy as you claim mine is, btw.

  • @amsterdamob You just haven't had the chance to experience that "fairy tale" (or you don't want to). We need to see in different perspectives. Someone was writing about how magnificent is God who created this universe while other people see it as just another natural phenomena. You don't believe in God? Fine, but I don't see there is a need to tell believers to shut up. Respect others if you wanna be respected.

  • @crazzb

    I was raised Christian.

I gave it a chance, I grew up, and just like santa clause, I grew out of it.

I absolutely still hold dear many of the morals/values that I learned from Christianity. You're probably right though; I don't need to be an asshole about it...

It's just that I've had so many of these people initiate ridiculous arguments with me, that I instantly go on the defensive. Sometimes offensive.

  • @amsterdamob No problem, I don't feel offended. :) Sorry if I made u feel offended too. The only thing that kept me a believer is the principal that God is love, and the capability of humans to love. I do believe that if humans are able to love each other and are not selfish, then the world will be in peace. There's still so many wisdom and knowledge of life I am yet to learn, so I'm trying to stay on the right track I believe. :) Thank u.

  • @crazzb soo are for or against gay marrige?

  • @blowinstuffup1 personally I'm not gay, so I'm against it, but for everyone else, they got their own choices right? Even whether to believe or not to believe in God itself is a choice everyone must make.

  • original halo effect

  • Luke 21

And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and GREAT SIGNS shall there be from heaven.

Regardless whether these are sun dogs or not, I watch the skies all the time I have NEVER seen such a phenomenon!

  • The Lord God says, "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." (The Bible - Jeremiah 33:3)

  • @Hesuku Spread His Word

  • @Hesuku and then the visible and tangible guy gave a logical explanation to the things god couldn't...

  • @ThePiersonettes ? What are you talking about? Mankind is far from searching out the mysteries of the creation world and succeeded only in polluting the planet. We humans need humiliation.

  • @Hesuku We've only succeeded in polluting the earth? Scientists are well on their way to creating life, which is something supposedly only a divine god can do. People are the ones performing miracles and they're doing it in a time when it can be recorded with first hand evidence

  • @ThePiersonettes No, if anything positive, humans are only mimicking the mechanism of what the Creator already established; the proof that the universe was created by God. But humans are sinful, therefore they destroy and abuse in attempt to satisfy their greed. There will be the Judgment Day for all.

  • @Hesuku Damn that's some cold shit... sort of makes me wish there was some sort of omnipresent being to console me... oh wait....

  • @ThePiersonettes Use clean language. You are accountable to God. What you need is not consolation; you need the Truth. Read the Bible, especially the Gospel of John.

  • @Hesuku I'm not even lying i read through the entire old testament and the beginning of the the new testament. It gets a little repetitive after (spoiler alert) Jesus dies. and the new testament totally ruined god's image as a badass, cold-hearted killer. In the Old testament he was all like "Sodom? Man, f*** that. I'm not gonna save my valuable creations! LIGHTNING!!!!" and in the new testament he's like "All is forgiven, here's my son. I'm going to nap and whisper vague things to virgins..."

  • @ThePiersonettes If you are not lying, you are not remembering anything you claim you have read. Repent your blasphemy and your stupidity.

  • This is almost like a copy of the Bible prophecy

  • love the phrase 'natural phenomenon' ...as if there's anything natural about weird shit happening in the skies!

  • @pudster420 everything that happens on the planet is natural

  • @garystorey you're just trying to provoke, to which you ....naturally...failed...i'll let you bask in the stupidity of your uneducated response...because clearly something like ohhh lets say...the Nazca lines...must be just a natural land/mountain formation....wow, we really have been 'dumbed' down.

  • @pudster420 you really should check peoples pages before generalizing with stupid comments. By "everything that happens on the planet is natural" I mean anything that happens is all part of natures course. Humans building a house is natural, it's natural for a human to want to live under shelter is it not ? Same goes for any other activity or event born of this universe. Seems to me you are the dumb one on the attack with mindless trolls. Keep smoking that weed you worthless pot head.

  • Any explanation?

  • Those are sun dogs

  • I'm in NJ at this exact time of this day the same fenomenom but not with all 4 suns just 2 beams of light left and right of sun

  • @wagner55 Those were 22 degree sun dogs that you saw. These are pretty common. But 4 sun dogs is very rare and can only occur when very specific atmospheric conditions are met, one of them being nearly perfect vertical alignment of descending hexagonal ice crystals.

  • thats realey stragne !!!

  • Has this person ever used a video camera in their life?

  • Ugh, thank god for the mute button.

  • @punchingjudy lol

  • Going from daggering to this is a little hard on my brain.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • wheres the chicken?

  • Verly Nize!

  • Can you stopping deleting comments? There are some insanely funny comments here

  • Hi Reddit,

I was totally expecting to see Borat at the end there ;)

  • Don't advertise!

  • cool, I never seen a sun dog before

  • Not an Optical illusion, this is a Sun Dog, google it if you want the exact meaning of a Sun Dog. ;p

  • how can this be dumb??? It's a cool phenomenon. Or you run around call all natural phenomenons dumb?

  • i'm more impressed by the videos than those who have this need to show off their knowledge on youtube.

  • Lucky man! I never saw so bright 120 parhelia before! =)

You see in your video a parhelic circle, sundogs and 120º parhelia.

type "ATMOSPHERIC OPTICS" on google (the address will be 'atoptics (dot) something ;) ) and and click in "Ice Halos". Sundogs and parhelic circle are in "Frequent Halos" section. 120 parhelia in "Infrequent Halos".

And understand better what happened in the sky!

  • ladyirea is 100% correct, nice work!

That must have been some experience gersonl, I wish I could have seen it.

  • ladyirea is right, nice to see some sanity in youtube comments lol.

Nice video by the way gersonl, what a great experience to witness an atmospheric show of that magnitude!

  • concerning this video, where it happens ? and is there others videos like this one ?

  • OMFL, Is it a Lord of the rings sing???

  • While totally a natural phenomenon, this video is still hauntingly beautiful.

  • Sun Dog

  • OMFG IT'S A SIGN FROM A VENGEFUL GOD

just kidding it's just ice crystals

  • its a sun dog wich is a common bright circular spot on a solar halo.

  • its called HALO hahaha

  • I'm so thankful that people like you exist. Otherwise, those of us that have enough interest, curiosity and ability to think critically may never realize just how intelligent we are. Instead of rattling off misspelled, useless comments such as "fake," perhaps a minute or two of research would have educated you on the solar phenomenon known as "parhelion."

  • PS YOU TALK LIKE A DOUCHE

  • Really mature argument there. He's probably shaking in his little boots right now, wondering how he might possibly fight back against your witty and amazing rebuttal to his pathetic comment.

  • owned

  • It's not fake, it's called a Sun Dog. Google it.

  • I'm a dumbass because I don't believe in something written in a book? Isn't Christianity supposed to love and care for all creatures, not just *specifically* the ones who share the same belief?

    Typical right-wing Christian.

  • I think you missed the joke. Sorry if my deliverance sucked.

I didn't want to downvote you, but I had to for calling me right-wing. That is the dirtiest insult I've ever received. =[

  • Your deliverance was a bit too subtle, I did take it seriously.

I guess a whoops, my bad is in order.

    Whoops, my bad.

  • wow...great !!

i like mysterious things in this space !!

  • it's just a sundogs ;]] i have seen this many times...

  • what is the cause of the phenomenon?

  • wow, that must be a REALLY polluted area because I saw things like that back in Wisconsin near the foundry at the end of my street!

  • Apparently your knowledge of the atmospheric optical phenomena is somewhat poor. These are very rare 120-degree parhelions on a subsolar arc + a 22 degree halo with more popular parhelions. Pity that the anthelion didn't show up, because it's the rarest of them all.

  • It looks like a Sun reflection in the white cloud in the sky . Thank you .

    nutier

  • Wow I wish I could see it...I'm always looking up at the sky for signs...I've nearly missed my bus a few times starring up at the sky lol!

  • aw thats sweet

  • it would almost seem scary but everybody is happy in this vid!!i love the gold ring YOU SHOULD PLAY!!!

  • WHAT THE FREAK IS THAT?!!!thats sick i wanna see it myself=p is it in canada? does it appear all the time or sumtimes only? its sickish=p

  • In Canada they speak english, mostly :)

This is Russia (the girl voice behind the cammera sais: "first time in history of the planet...")

  • its borats home country of kazakstan so it says in the more info section

  • In northern Canada we call 'em Sundogs.

  • I have heard them called dog suns or something,it happens when the air up high is full of ice crystals or something , could be chemtrail related as well

  • This one time i seen the whole sky change 3 different colors i put this on my dead dads grave the whole sky lit up like it was day but in like a blueish shade its hard to explain. Its kinda funny tho 3 of my friends wittnessed it too while it was happenening we were smoking a blunt and my black friend was liKE oh shit its jesus and took a hit ahah priceless

  • hahah yea that sound hillarious :D:D

  • Thanks for the laugh. you are hilarious!

  • mind blowing tbh.

  • Durka durka... Muhammad JIHAD!

  • HAHAHA I love team america

  • Lol .. that "suns" to the left and right of the sun are parhelias, and that other suns are subparhelions

  • Aww, not subprahelions, but 120 parhelions. My mistake !

  • chemtrails, omg! lol

  • Something like ionized gas emiitting light ...

  • It one of the most complete sundogs I have ever seen. But wiki it and you'll see an explanation. Really beautiful.

  • Ok guys this is what's known as a parhelic circle with "sun dogs". It is very real and seldom seen complete. This video is the real deal.

  • The video is SO realistic so why use the audio from another video... (Italian astronomer's view UFO'S over moon)

QED Fake. People are having a lot of fun with photoshop and "clap clap" but it's cluttering the view...

  • Dzienkuje, very nice.

    It's real. Read Deutertube's comment.

  • Fake or legit????!

  • Great Marketing for Mario Bros.

    LOLOLOLOLOL

    Just kidding

  • y doesnt crazy shit like this happen in america? if it did it would be all over the news...

  • It does happen depends on when you are out and where you are. 5:30a.m. Chili,N.Y. seen moon ring was cool lasted until sun came up. Didn't notice at first until i stepped out of vehical and looked up.Moon was in center hope some one took pics.

  • Great marketing for HALO 3.

    LOLOLOLOL

    just kidding

  • dude, the flood is coming any minute....sorry, this should be the last halo reference.......

  • he was talking about Halo. a game for xbox you religious freak. quit your useless preaching of fairy tails.

  • im not religious either ass. i made my last comment on this video last year. i dont even remember what i said, nor do i care.

  • you have 4 thumbs down ha ha ha ha ha nobody likes you ha ha ha ha ha stop stikin yer beak in

  • The flood never happened lol, where would that water have come from? and where did it go?

thats just one of the storys of the bible that doesn't make sense...

  • i think that since a long time ago people in europe thought that europe was the world, it got flooded because (i cant remember exactly what) something broke or overflowed. It could have been a large natural dam or erosion of the sea floor or something like that im not sure what it was exactly. It was on discovery channel lol.

  • Actually it was Mesopotamia. Close but not quite Europe.

  • It's theorized that water surrounded the earth in a shieldlike layer. Read the first part of Genesis. It mentions an expanse or firmament between the water of the earth and the water of the sky.

  • Are you trying to convert me?

  • Of course you guys don't believe in magic, that would be rediculous... Believing that a jealous 13.7 billion year old god judges us with 10 commandments that doesn't even applicate to us anymore since we don't live in the bronze age.. That I understand!

  • Well, have you explored every space and every expanse of all that exists and found it devoid of God? No, you have not, I'd wager. Sure, I may be wrong, but at least I'm making an effort to connect with God, if he is out there. I believe he is. You clearly don't, and I'm not gonna argue with you. Your "evidence" is only semantics based on very human flaws, and I believe God is beyond such limitations, just as we are beyond ants.

  • I wonder if ants debate the existance of man? Check up on that, will you? You'll need something to keep you busy, as I m done with this discussion.

  • No I haven't explored every space of all that exists, obviously you knew that so stop being silly. But I still have common sense, witch leads me to the observation that if there is a god he's not doin't a very good job, he can't even give us factual sings of his existence only blind followers who told me "yeah but at least I try to believe in him" And yeah im not suprised that you don't want to continue this discussion, you broth it up and can't finish it, just like a coward.

  • Alright, now you've dragged me back into it. Great job. I wasn't being silly, I was proving a point. Think about this...if you created a multitude of people that you loved and adored, and saw them hurting each other, and openly defying you, would you be so willing to micromanage their problems and fix them all, or would you have an affinity for those who cared to do what you wanted?

  • Hmmm, No I don't think that if there was a god he should micromanage everyones problems, that would take all the fun out of life.

  • "Common sense" also told our ancestors that their Earth was the center of the universe, and everyone different than the elite was just scum. But we know that to be false, now don't we? Don't blame you and your kind's screw-ups on God. Do you think God would want to continue telling you something over and over, only to have you ignore and disrespect him? Believe what you want. I don't really care. But don't you dare mock me for seeking something beyond this finite mess of a world. Good day to you

  • And our ancestors that believed the Earth was the center of the universe are the same who clamed gods existence haven't you look it up?

In fact, christianity only accepted the fact that the Earth is not the center of the universe in 1994, researche it! And not I wouldn't mock you for "seeking" something beyond this world, I think we all do. What I mock on the other hand is pretending to have the awnser, and that you'd defend something as contraversial and biass as religion.

  • Did I claim to have the answer, or did I just explain what I believe? I may be wrong, but at least I am man enough to admit it. Worst case scenario for me--There's no God, as it turns out, and my life ends, just as it would anyway. Worst case scenario for you--you meet God one day, and explain yourself. Of course God would not micromanage, that was the point I was trying to make. The evil in this world is the result of peoples' selfishness, not a lazy God.

  • You believe what you believe because you are an american whos been broth that way by christian family etc, . Some other countrys believe in other gods, does that make them all wrong? Do you honnestly think that god chooses his people by random geographic? I think that would be pretty selffish. Can't you just have jesus's moral without believing in a intergalactic god? You say god doesn't micromanage everyone but I think hed have to to keep track of all them atheist and muslims...

  • Call me an asshole, a coward, or a fat, lazy American, if you want. I am done with this conversation, because arguing with you is like arguing with a childish, obstinate brick wall.

  • Maybe god is a giant transforming robot trying to save the earth? or is that a lame japaneese cartoon I've seen? either way I think they both have something in common, fiction and fantasy.

  • And did I mention that it is written in the Bible that the Earth is NOT the center of the universe? Most of the criticism atheists give of Christians is actually the fault of the Catholic church, as an organization. The leaders of the historic Catholic church never read a Bible, much less followed its teachings. By the way, you are the only one between the two of us who claims to have all the answers. Show me proof of your claims, and learn to properly operate a keyboard, then we'll talk.

  • Properly operate a keyboard? I think you fully understood me, I'm french so I can't do any better asshole. And I don't claim anything, I refute a claim, the claim of god's existence. youre the one making that claim. I refute it, And by the way, isn't it sellfish for a god to wan't people to believe in you no matter what or else you'll be punished? And did I mention to you that in the bible theres alot of contradiction thus making it very prone to be bullshit.

  • Also did you know that the word "Amen" you and the msulims say after each prayer doesn't mean "so be it" but actually means Omen, witch is an ancient Egyptian God representing the Sun. The word Amen is hidden everywhere in the bible... And theres plenty other ancient religion that believed in a very simular, almost identical storys as the one you believe in. I'm not saying there all wrong, just saying that what you think is factual isn't nessecarly. and you might wanna look for something more.

  • I'm only gonna say this one more time--I'm not trying to convert you, as you have made it abundantly clear that's not what you want. I am only explaining myself. And for the record there are Christians just like me all over the world, and have yet present to me any compelling evidence. Sorry, hostility doesn't do it for me. Name some Biblical contradictions. I believe what I do, not becuase of a demographic, but becuase it is what I, as an individual, believe.

  • And for the record, "amen" does not mean omen, it means "hidden things," and it's Egyption.

  • Sorry about this mistake, youre right about the amen etymology, some historians still argue it because vowel where interchangable in hebrew.

And by the way I'm not stuck up and saying your completely wrong... That would be a different story if you'd be Catholic but you're not.

  • Well, I think this arguement has gone far enough, and we've both made complete asses of ourselves. Shall we just agree to disagree?

  • Is that a fact? Please, enlighten me as to where exactly it says that in the Bible.

  • Dude... this is just ice crystals in the sky working like a prism and making that halos.

  • Ya, the Sumerian religion describes the Earth the exact same way so is their religion right too?

  • Well no religion is "right," per se. Nobody can know what's really out there. Not you, not me, not Billy Graham, not Henry Dawkins.

  • This is a parhelic circle with sundogs comprised of ice crystals...a rare but natural phenomenon.

  • That is probably the best interpretation

  • its a halo from halo ... covenant is going to attack us :(

  • haha call for master cheif

  • Aliens!!!

  • nice sundogs

  • That's a sweet halo

  • wow that´s cool:)

  • Jesus Christ we are all going to die!

  • WOW Great footage. 5 stars

  • omg...president bush need know it!

  • WTF!! cool

  • I never sawe this kind of flare in a vidcam. fhone cam, or fotocam!? lol but why in Kazachstan? Maby its the work of Borat.

  • That's odd, what is it?
