What they should have done was put a small allen wrench inside the battery case where you could remove it and tighten down the micro SD port and ear phone jack to guarantee no water seepage into the phone. Just sayin...

It's nice to see finally a tough smart phone but I played with it a few seconds at a Verizon store & it was very buggy. My Casio Rock cell's battery went to crap just a few shot months of having it-never beat it up but it could not take the under 60 deg. Tempt in my meat dept. not impressed!

Well I dropped my commando and the screen didn't crack. My spill test worked fine too. I have no problems with my phone. Your theories about the phone being bad have been debunked. ARGMUENT ENDER!

Don't let the Meter of water fool you, if you PLACE it in the water it will do fine but if you do anything realistic like jumping into the water or dropping it in the lake moisture will get into the screen, its throwing water into the phone and you best hope Verizon thinks it is a defective product

DO NOT GET THIS PHONE!!!! I got it, and droped it once and the hole screen cracked. Every other day i had to get an update that took about an hour and a half. in water you cant use the touch screen because the temp. of the water messes with it. And in water the speaker dosent work. My old blackberry storm was more durable.

I have the Motorola defy from t-mobile, another rugged phone.It's also water, dust, and shatter resistant. I absolutely LOVE my phone. IMO ALL cellphones should be made to be "life-proof". Let's hope industry catches on that it's better to make products that last than it is to make products that are so easily broken.
