  • thats rare 2 see closed caption screens on a BBC Video release

  • Yep, remember seeing this on videos we used to watch at primary school, I am sure. It is just about the only time I remember seeing that rhomboid BBC logo as I was very young, shame since its my favourite one...

  • 00:08 - 00:23 is on my VHS of "Give Me A Break" (Michael J Fox movie)

  • @areyouakegger what trailers are on that?

  • oh dear lord this was scary back in the day

  • @MattWindsor91

It's weird how practically the whole thing is quiet and then you get

    DEE DEE DEE

    DOO DOO DOO

    DEE DEE DEEEEE...

  • I watched an old BBC VHS in the dark at midnight... when that ident came on I nearly had involuntary bowel movement

  • I have the Closed captioning Slides/Screens on my Disney VHS tapes

  • I think most Disney tapes had these slides, although it was unusual for them to appear on BBC Video releases, they're usually only kept to Films. Although I don't know anyone who actually owned one of the decoders, I suppose DVD subtitles killed it off.

  • @steviegTVreturns most warner tapes had cc

  • @Coolhaksta2010 No, only ones released in and after 1994.

  • @devvomashup under siege is from 1993 and that has CC

  • @Coolhaksta2010 And so does Falling Down, which is from December 1993. Most WB rental tapes from '93 didn't have Closed Captions though.

  • @devvomashup closed captions screens were inroduced september 1993

  • @Coolhaksta2010 Yeah, on Warner tapes. They were introduced in mid-1993 on Buena Vista tapes. Calafornia Man, from May 1993 (if I'm correct) has the CC screens.
