Before, as a semi-beginner, I was confused by how to ski perpendicular to mogul fall line yet end up turning at the same time. This really clears it up.

It looks like one sort of follows the trough, but a bit higher up the mogul where it isn't quite so skied out. Like walking alongside a muddy footpath on the bit that's still grass!
