It makes sense since the opening credits features Goku. So for a change, the closing credits would have Bulma in it. Plus, they are the two main characters of "Dragon Ball". And I guess it goes by rank. Goku, being the primary protagonist, takes the opening credits; while Bulma, the secondary protagonist, takes the closing credits. Story-wise, we actually watched these kids grow up in a span of seven years.

@Tinyani1 Probably because she is the (impersonated) Macguffin of the show. If you think it, really, with a super-powefull, magically-helped, naturally graced, and emotionally balanced kid like Goku you shouldn't have much suspense along the way. So...here she comes. Hehe

@Tinyani1 Actually the first idea of Dragon Ball was make Bulma the main character... And Goku was going to be a secondary character and the story would happen in Bulma's point of view. But as the series progess and Goku got more and more overpower, Bulma was left behind.

Also, Bulma was going to marry Goku in the first idea of dragonball, but like I said when she started get left behind in the serie, the creator put Chi Chi on the story \Õ/

@CrossLoader Ouch. I think it would be weird if Goku would marry Bulma. I mean, she's so much older than him.. When they first met, Goku was 5 and Bulma about 11-14? I mean seriously. It would be so weird.. Imagine this: when you are a kid, some person takes care of you as if she was your mother. Years later, you marry her. I mean it's just.. weird.

@Tinyani1 Dragon ball is a parody based off of the Chinese novel Journey to the West, and the character Buma represents is actually the main character in that novel, so I guess in a way that makes sense.

Reminds me of simpler times in DB before aliens, power levels and constant energy blasts took over the show.

Plus if you do want to get technical, Bulma is a major character in the series. In fact she is probably the most prominent female character in the entire franchise. She and Goku are pretty much the longest running characters in the anime; having been present since the first episode of DB to the last episode of DBGT.
