Vince Carter's dunk is where it should be NO. 1. It's more difficult to catch it and between the legs dunk when your not in control of the basketball yourself. You kinda already know where the ball should be if you throw it yourself. JRich is amazing but VC had the best dunk. VC is the greatest dunker of all time too so I think it's fair. Spud Webb's dunk was so high up because of the moment so I don't mind him being up there. All of them were amazing.

What is really irritating about these other lists is that the REAL #1 keeps getting scooting farther and farther back. First it's the runner up and then it's only the third best and then wait, hold up, now it's number five. I've seen every dunk from every contest and the REAL number one shifted the realm of possibility in these contests to a whole new level, that before, was outside of our own imaginations.

You know the real problem with this countdown is that they're trying to fit evenly old school and new school into one small list (Top 10). You can't do it and it can't be done. You're either going to end up with more new than old or more old than new. I have found the solution. I just finished my Top 50 Dunk Contest Dunks List and the real difference between my list and this one is I don't care about being fair according to one list or the other. I'm just going for what's right and legit.

I think why Carter's dunk is nr1 over Richardson is the whole hype thing since the contest was delayed for 3 years. Julius might have started it all, but Carter singlehandedly brought the contest back. J-rich dunks difficulty are off the charts though.
