  • To all the teachers that carry, THANK YOU for protecting my kids.

  • an armed society is a polite society

  • Well, it easy to see who we will be defending if a crazy person does what crazy people do. The beauty salon shootings, the restaurant shootings, the congresswoman shootings, the Norway shootings. This isn't the figment of our imagination, this is real.

  • @steve4ha When has not being allowed stopped a felon from doing something, such as obtaining a gun? If they worried about rules they wouldn't be felons. I am glad you like martial arts I enjoy them myself but I also carry because I like firearms also. Watch looking down your nose at people for the choices they make you might just be put in a position to understand their point of view one day

  • @248thEvan

Trust the man who can't spell simple words.

  • any chance of getting the whole video?

  • @248thEvan wait the lady did a bad thing or did a good thing??

  • I had a professor who didn't like the idea of CCW on campus because she thought that "students would threaten her for giving them bad grades", lol. Another objection a student voiced was that "college kids drink a lot" and its "an emotional environment", never mind that’s its already illegal to carry intoxicated and we're talking about people who already carry off campus. Fucking sheep. It works fine in Utah; CCW on campus should be enacted everywhere. Prevent another Virginia tech massacre.

  • i live in england, here, even the police dont carry guns most of the time,

but in the last 10-20 years i have not even HEARD about someone getting shot in my town,

gun crime in england is very low, because guns are so hard to get ahold of.

that said, i heard the gun freedom laws in america where made so that if the govement decides to oppress people they can rise up. (or something)

we dont have anything like that, then again, considering the riots in london atm, that might be a good thing

  • @iamnuff1992 Don't be fooled by the "less guns make less crime" thing that the British government spits out. Look at the total violent crime per capita between the US and Europe. Those statistics say that even the safest european nations like Finland still have a 0.005 violent crime rate, while the US is 0.004. England is the most violent, at 0.02. And yes, the guns are good to have in case we have to revolt AGAIN...

  • @evildude109 hahahah lol, i would keep one if the Russians attacked or some idiot tries to mug me or burgularize my house (not to offend the Russians but there is a chance)

  • @iamnuff1992 What you heard about Gun Freedom in the USA is our Second Amendment to our Constitution and for years there were debates about weather it actually gave rights to the average citizen to be armed for self defense and finally last year in 2010 in McDonald vs. Chicago, the US Supreme Court ruled that YES, american citizens, have the right to own a gun for self defense and specifically stated, a hand gun for example. Also ruled that no state or local gov. ordinance or law can prohibit.

  • @iamnuff1992 They just stab each other, no guns, but knives are quite popular in the UK ... so if somebody had a knife I wish i had the gun or a bigger knife (and better technique ;) )

  • @schopenhauer1962

if you can get a gun then so can they

defending yourself is MUCH easier if nobody has guns, even if they have a knife.

  • @iamnuff1992 You 're right, but defending against a knife is easy in the dojo, not on the street. The rule is always avoid, escape, fight or die. I prefer avoidance, but I'am prepared. (as far as this is ever possible). When I was attacked in my car, I was able to defeat the attacker with a flashlight, but the body is your worst enemy. The adrenal dump is near a nightmare, gun, knife or nothing at all ...

  • @schopenhauer1962

everything is harder for real than in practice. but its still much easier than defending against a gun

i was attacked once, a man with a knife stepped out of a alley and tried to stab me, no "gimme your wallet" just stabbed right at me. i managed to make him drop the knife and he ran.

if it had been a gun i would have been dead.

the point is "avoid, escape, fight" applys to ANY fight, but if you cant avoid then escape and fight are MUCH harder if guns are involved.

  • @schopenhauer1962

all any weapon does is raise the stakes. if someones willing to do a crime and they can't get a gun then they might still do the crime, but it will be FAR less dangerous if they just have a knife

i dont like to bring up the school shootings, but didnt that boy take his dads shotgun?

    3 questions for you

1: do you know where your gun is right now?

2: where will it be tomorrow, when you are not home?

3:now, how do you think that boys dad would have answered the above questions?

  • @iamnuff1992 Guns or knives, they don't belong in a school. Where is my gun, right now ? In front of me, but mostly in a gun safe. I don't have children in the house, only a dog and two cats ... And indeed, gun-ownership means responsibility, that's completely right.

  • @schopenhauer1962

well yeah, obiously weapons have no place in schools anyway, the point i was making is that when people say "im safer because i own a gun" they dont seem to be relise, a weapon you dont know how to use, or is not in your hand, is more dangerous than no weapon at all.

you dont "own" a gun, you keep one. but it "belongs" to whoever is holding it at the time.

heh, when you said "only a dog and two cats" i had the strangest image of your cats gunfighting. lol.

  • @iamnuff1992 The cats are sometimes on my mind when I write and exactly the same image appeared to my mind's eye. I organised an airgun competition between friends and one of the cats was immediately in the center of attention, when he ( a 'he' !!) started playing with one of the unattended guns, and it is a great example that you can never, ever leave a gun unattended.

  • @schopenhauer1962

heh, reminds me of many a hour spent on darwinawards reading all the stupid entries.

i seem to remember one guy trying to hit (read: club) his dog with the butt of a loaded shotgun, and managing to shoot himself in the face.

  • @schopenhauer1962 That's right, guns don't belong in schools, unarmed children deserve to die, right?

  • @alvinfry No, they should be protected by adults, reponsible enough to do the job tey have to do

  • @schopenhauer1962 You're a responsible adult, how would you protect the schoolkids from gunmen while you're unarmed?

  • @stainless1911 I think that you are confusing my opinion with somebody elses, I am pro gun, pro knife, pro weapons, I own a pro self defense website (armed self-defense). But when I read the comments I start getting confused myself. I never leave home without a weapon ...

  • @schopenhauer1962 Sorry then. I carry as well. Actually, I seldom conceal.

  • @iamnuff1992 Here's the thing, criminals cannot LEGALLY get a gun, but they do anyways, ALL crime has gone up in England, illegal gun ownership among criminals has gone up too

  • @248thEvan Obvious troll is obvious.

  • Wyoming just became the next state to allow permitless carry ftw.

  • im scared shitless ima start being nice to my teachers!

  • im in az we dont need no stinking ccw

  • Yep Utah is the only state to my knowledge that allows concealed carry in schools. I'm glad I can can have my weapon on me during classes @ usu

  • Hoo-Rah for carrying. Sincerely- Brownnz.

  • i spy a sheepdog

like this if ya know what i mean

  • God made man. Smith & Wesson made them equal.

A woman with a pistol who knows how to shoot is doubly deadly because dumb ass robbers.rapists do not expect them to be armed. A lot of people leaving California are moving to states like Tennessee. They are finding out that crime is not so easy: Score in last 6 months Home invaders 12 KIA, owners 0.

  • @holajim HAHA! A fellow Tennesseean. I lived in Clarksville most of my life, though not anymore, I live in Kentucky now, but if theres one beautiful thing about these states it's that we can actually have the right to be a member of the same ppl who are responsible for preventing millions and millions of crimes every year simply by CC'ing.

  • Way to go,grandma!!!

  • Fear fear fear! Carry a gun, don't learn how to fight! I feel so safe with the weakest among us arming themselves!!

  • @steve4ha Seems you're incapable of, or unwilling to do both? How does carrying a gun make one "weak." Why are you like this? Explain? (This I gotta hear)

  • @FaganRoberts Well, in my state felons aren't allowed to buy guns. That is why I do competition boxing and jiu jitsu. My gold medals speak for themselves. I am like this because if no one carried a gun, life would be way better.

  • @steve4ha Oh yeah.... and if no one took Jiu Jitsu then no none would be one up on another in a fight and life would be "way better". With this reasoning we should ban all martial arts training.

('Tis better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it)

  • @FaganRoberts Look, all I was saying is that maybe You can keep somebody from taking your gun away.. That little woman in the video, I'm not so sure. We had the wild west, our government decided that only trained professionals should walk around armed. I do martial arts and put my butt on the line to entertain people. I don't think everyone should do it.

  • @steve4ha A bit of historical reasearch suggests the "Wild West" wasn't so wild after all. Probably a bit boring, I might add. An armed society tends to make a more peaceful society. Reason being that if one might choose to act up, in this scenario, he has to back his actions up with his very life. Besides, there's plenty of licensed concealed carry out here, myself included. I wouldn't want to live in a nation where only the police and military have guns. That's a definition of a police state.

  • @FaganRoberts Too bad I live there. Its called Australia. Only police and gangsters have guns and we are meant to feel safe.

  • @keyanage I've read about the situation you have there in OZ. I feel bad about it even though I've never been there and would like to visit anyway. But from what I understand, there are plenty of Aussies here in the States who move or come here to take advantage of our freedom to own and shoot a wide variety of firearms. Please feel free to visit or relocate. Believe me, there are plenty of friendly Americans that would love to take you out shooting. Plenty of guns, people & wide open spaces!

  • @FaganRoberts cheers man, I am organizing to relocate, I obtained my USA passport this year, just a matter of obtaining funds to get over there and start a new life... Australia is a good place however Im slowly starting to realize it is not where I want to live my life... Between the most extreme censorship laws in the world and extreme gun control... I want to live somewhere I can take pride in being an individual, freedom and defending myself...

  • @keyanage The US is probably the last refuge for those who dare to be free. I am confident most Americans would love to see someone of your caliber come to/ immigrate to the US. I don't know what state you are planning on moving to, but I might suggest the southern states or some of the mountain states out west. Most states offer liberal concealed carry licenses. Stay away from: NY, NJ, Illinois, Mass.,California, Maryland, Conn.,RI.,Arizona is good, but overun w/ many illegal alien rabble.

  • @FaganRoberts thanks man, it means a lot to me, particularly as I am immigrating to US next year (maybe California) .. I dont want to carry a gun on me to go buy bread and milk from the local store, I want the right to buy a gun, if I feel threatened, my home, family or country feels threatened... I have the option, without being a criminal to protect myself... If it means concealing a weapon illegaly or legally to protect myself, so be it... I'll move states till I find a peaceful place...

  • @keyanage Oh, God, you're going to move to California? Good luck here, buddy. I have to open carry UNLOADED because the sheriff is racist and only issues Concealed-Carry Weapons (CCW) permits to special people. I've personally been considering moving out to Nevada after I get my Master's.

  • Comment removed

  • @keyanage Vests, I don't know about that. Knives, so long as they're folding and not switchblades, they have a detent that makes them "want" to stay shut, and they remain closed in your pocket. Sticks, yes, but only for purposes of martial arts instruction. Google up "California Knife Laws" and see what's up.

  • @TheWitnesserer sounds like as long as you dont commit/commited a violent crime you are sweet for vests. California looks to be like it will be a relatively chill place.. Here we arent allowed bullet proof vests or guns which contradicts.. I have a complete clear conscious to carrying or selling a weapon, because when I was 15 I got jumped by a gang older and outnumbered with weapons, I thank everyday still I was able to use a weapon to get out of that situation and hold 30+ people back.

  • @keyanage I hope you have a great move to California, then. Even though we have pretty stringent gun laws in comparison to just about all of the other States, we're nothing like the police state you live in down there in the down under.

  • @TheWitnesserer cheers man, I really look forward to it, I have realized California and America is very suited to my lifestyle.. This is a police nanny state, where raids, jail time and guilt is like brushing your teeth...and I have realized it doesn't represent freedom.. What I was charged with and might be doing time over, I wouldnt be more than fined in california if that... and it would be a reasonable fine eg. $100 rather than jail time and $10+k plus in fines.

  • @keyanage Jesus Christ. I hadn't realized Nazi Germany was still around. At least not in any first world countries. You'd better get yer ass out here as quickly as you can. You deserve better than that police state.

    Godspeed, mate.

  • @TheWitnesserer-I am worried, maybe because I am American growing up in Australia, I have watched Australia shape over the last 20 years while the citizens stand idly by as new laws get passed daily and we lose more and more of our freedoms bit by bit, deluded by our large land masses and constant flow of refugees into a sense of freedom... In America the citizens fight tooth and nail over minor losses of freedom and create new laws to ensure freedom.. & We hate America for being free...

  • @keyanage Hell yes we fight for our freedoms here. Things haven't changed in over 200 years. Our founding fathers actually fought BATTLES to win freedom and we're willing to do the same thing. I pray for your safe and expedient migration from oppression to freedom.

  • @steve4ha If it's concealed, how are they going to know she has a gun to take away? If it's not concealed, chances are tshtf and trying to take her gun would probably get you shot. And fyi, gun laws at least in the south started to keep guns out of black people's hands, not to tame the wild west.

  • @FaganRoberts Right? We put our seat belts on, but we don't go looking for car crashes.

  • @FaganRoberts Crime is increasing dramatically. Many cops shop where I work. Many have told me that when they find a gun on a person who is not doing anything wrong, they let them go. Carrying a weapon without a permit in Tennessee is a mesdemeanor. They also know they have no chance of getting a conviction. Gonna be a hung jury every time. Why? Because at least 1 person on the jury will know that our founding fathers made SURE their children maintained the RIGHT to self-defense.

  • @holajim Good post. Yes, it's called jury nullification.

  • @FaganRoberts lol but if theres no martial arts what if your gun misfired and you suddenly were disarmed jiujitsu would help you there or almost any other martial art

  • @jacobjiujitsu69 LOL! Hmmm, then suppose a lightning bolt came from the sky and struck the very hand I was going to use for Ju Jitsu? Or I had a sudden muscle cramp or I slipped and fell before striking that final mighty blow? LOL!

Oh, darnit, I think I'll just keep my revolver oiled up and in tip-top shape. If you don't mind?

  • @jacobjiujitsu69 Two Words: Pistol Whip

  • cool.

  • Smart teacher.

  • Good for you Prof! I have carried concealed for 27 years- never shot anyone- Hope I never have to. I have displayed a weapon or made it clear that I had one, and was not going to hesitate to use it ,more than once and that was enough to straighten out the interlopers. Got laid off, went back to college at age 48 and carried one there every day for 2 years.I was NOT going to be a Virginia Tech style victim.

  • @sbd45acp I carry to campus but it never leaves the vehicle. I am risking my degree, finanacial aid, and the CPL/CCW by carrying into builds and campus grounds. They need to improve the system a bit more, maybe a limited pool of campus carry permits. Imagine at VT if one of the classrooms had a student/teacher who had a CCW, and was prepared for the psycho to enter...

  • @steelmesh I understand your dilemma. But, what do you risk if you don't? I make same decision going in the PO. The likely hood that I may need a weapon while in the PO for a few min. 2x a week is different than locked in a classroom 4 hrs a day, 5x a week.If my weapon is found in the PO I go to prison. I wonder how the law can apply to PRIVATE learning institutions on PRIVATE property the same way it does to public schools?Every College bldg. should claim a EMT/CCW person. Real or not.

  • @steelmesh I am allowed to carry on campus. I believe we are the only state in the USA so far that allows it. (Utah)

  • @sbd45acp why cant england have guns it would be alot safer
