OMG some of you guys need to relax and get off her jock. I'm sure she's a great parent. She obviously is there when the baby id playing with the cat to insure her safety. Cats and dogs aren't harlequins. They know right from wrong just like mortals. They can even sense when something is wrong. So unless this cat was a kitten and didn't yet know right from wrong I suggest you guy should pacify down. Btw your daughter and kitty are both cuties.
look if the cat didnt like the baby pulling its ear it would get away from the baby the baby is just being a baby. when i was young i put my cat in the washing machine lol but i was just a stupid baby and i love animals. {and beer}
I know where you're coming from but I would only let her do this while I was less than 1m away. She is now told off whenever she tries to be mean to the cat and, yet still the cat does not seem to have learnt that she can always walk away... I would not lay blame at the cat for using her claws to protect her personal space.
this is exactly why animals attack babies, then get the blame. I know you think this is cute, and I am sure your kitty is sweet, as I adore cats and have my own. But, your cat is not human and does not understand like we do...it can take that babies nose off in one bite.
my granma's neighbour had a cat and it used to come over to the next street and come in our house. this was when i was ten years old and i look much older. now i know ur going 'why is she telling me this?'. it because the cat knew i was a kid
Sorry. Realy don't like this. You should teach this child that a cat is not a cuddly toy but a living creature and you cannot pull it's ear, tolerant cat or not.
Yes we do tell her not to pick on the cat and she is now old enough to start understanding right from wrong. At 10 months old she was too young to be taught such things.
this cat is my idol

Is the cat more tolerant of the baby than others?
joethepigg 3 years ago
No she is very tolerant of everyone. Worst you will get from her is a grumpy stare.
