  • I learned the song 44 years ago! And was trying to find it on the internet and can't believe I found it!

  • Awww, we learned this song in 2nd grade! I'm in the 11th grade now and I still remember it!

  • I was named after this song

Chickery Chick, cha la cha la, chuckeleromy in a banicka, bollicka, wollica can't you see, Chickery is me.....

  • Very nice, Sammy Kaye and his orchestra had a big hit with it as well in the USA.

  • lol, we did this song in music this year

  • This was the theme song for an old animated film called (I believe) The Magic World of Alakazam...

  • Funny how the brain remembers music so well...even the lyrics of a silly ditty like chickery chick. They don't write fun songs anymore, or at least the music publishers won't accept them. Shame.

  • I couldn't agree more! He has some fantastic recordings, great arrangements, & IMO, would have given any of the US or UK bigbands a run for their money. It would be good to see EMI release a "Complete Works" CD. They really are an important part of Australia's musical history.
