Part 2 is one of movies that I associate with watching horror marathons on TV on Saturday. I still remember seeing it for the first time... after I had seen the first, there was a commercial for a showing of Part 2 on one of my local Chicago stations and it showed off the pool scene. Not to go off on a tangent, but I always think of that pool scene promo on WGBO when I think of Elm Street 2.
Elm Street 2 is a Classic, despite all the Gay-Undertones, it still works, the only problem with the movie was Freddy attacking people at the pool party, apart from that it was a Great sequel :)
@COMP3LLED2KILL- I think the gay undertones (well, more like overtones) actually add substance to the story, rather than being just a mindless exploitation slasher.
No one likes this installment! Not only do people call it the worst of the series, some call it the worst movie they've ever seen! The complete goat fuck of the series. That said, its probably my favorite of the series. I liked these characters the most, liked the plot, and find the 80's feel endearing.
Great review Matt but I don't believe you'd scream like a girl-your too tough. I guess I was most disappointed with the fact that Jessie just sort of sit there while his friends suffered. If he had been more of a fighter like you or I he'd been a better character but as always I'm glad you enjoyed the film.
I like Elm street 2 the best overall.
I am also a big fan of freddy's nightmares tv series that i sometimes watch every day.
Kim Meyers Tits look so f****** huge in the cabana when Jessie grabs them.
Been watching this for over 20y. I had to watch Private Resort after nightmare on elm street every time then replayed as I was so scary as a kid

Also funny as hell that I never caught any of the gay stuff because I was too young.

great review matt. I know what you mean about this film. I enjoyed it too.
it's like the black sheep of the original series (in the series overall that honor goes to the remake).
