Instead of using the lasso tool at 3:50 couldn't you just put layer 2 under layer one? Just curious.

No dude you could do it in any one the photoshop.

take three pics you sitting in different seat do side by sides to start. Open the in three different layers and start erasing the top layer then move on to the second layer. You will not have to touch the third layer. Try that. you can take a video then post and ill take a look at what you are doing wrong.

you dont have to click two pics at a time just open the three or how many pics your are doing. Then start erasing.
