Perhaps the people who wrote the British Poll should hear King but they have not one American tenor on that poll!

@SHICOFF1 King has a firm, powerful, and ringing tone that just wouldn't due in England and he was often panned in the book 'Opera on Records.' I wonder if they could even make an honest comparison between Turner and Nilsson. But what can you expect from opera lovers in a country where they are deeply proud of that aural nightmare Peter Pears.
