With that said, everytime they think of playing any of this bull today, they should replace it with a Outkast joint! It's a new year I'm a NEW artist... No one likes spam, but right now this is the ONLY way I can reach YOU!!
from Seattle, my sound is like a Eminem meets John Mayer at a Sublime show, if that makes any sense. My influences are 2pac JimiHendrix BobMarely and a lot more. I'm just posting my 1st official music video for my original song "Home"... I KNOW everyone says this... But it REALLY would mean a lot if u took like 30 sec. to let me PROVE to YOU that I AM the new Artist worth supporting!!!
It's "swollen got my pockets business boomin' like rockets, folks tried to stop me but they know that it's that" and "My groove be thick as two fat hoes sitting off in a Brougham," not whatever is in the description. Look up Cadillac Brougham.
@RAPERECTION ..THOSE YOUNG BRO'S MUST NOT HAVE THIS CD OR ALBUM DOWNLOAD ..BECAUSE IF THEY LISTEN TO THE WHOLE CD...I MEAN CAN U DO THAT NOW IT SEEMS THAT ONE SONG AND DONE NOW..BUT ANYWAY U SHOULD DIRECT THEIR ATTENTION TO TRACK 2 ...THAT WILL CHANGE THEIR LIFE. PEACE.
eeeeeeey you on the computer, check out my version of this playa shit, let me know what you think, show love or let me know if i suck... im positive your gonna like it, i did right by this classic southern shit... thanks, KEEP IT GRAVITY!! peace...
I realized something. The reason why a lot of teens tell you how old they are is because they are trying to show that they aren't the ones listening to the mainstream crap that they supposedly classify as "rap".
Can some one who grew up in the South during the 90's answer me this was Outkast more important, as important, or less important then rappers like Pac,Big,Nas,Snoop,Jay,Pun,L to y'all during this era of the 90's
@RAthaPunisher as important as Pac and Nas, and more so than the others i think... those three defined the three greatest styles of rap ie. east/west/south
How did Pac define west coast-style? Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre & Ice Cube defined the west coast, Biggie, Nas & Wu-Tang defined the east, OutKast & UGK defined the south.
@tibiasuckness well each to their own, for me if someone mentions West i just thing of Pac... but yeah cool, i don't really mind if you don't think so.
@RAthaPunisher I wouldn't put them in the category of the rappers you mentioned. They did their own thing, maintaining the essence of "Outkast" while switching up at the same time, and still had a following, which to me gives them (Outkast) a slight edge on the rest.
@RAthaPunisher exactly..they didn't conform..they had their own sound (like Wu Tang) they were more mainstream but maintained autonomy..true artistry in my book :-)
@peachesterrain yeah in my opinion OutKast is the greatest duo and Wu-Tang of course the greatest group in Hip-Hop history they are so unique and will never be duplicated
Legends, period: every album went platinum, at the minimum. What current artist do you know that has done that? NONE. These brothers took a shit on Lil Wayne's gonorrhea ass and the rest of the hip-hop industry, lol.
@MrsGotBack damn straight, fuck lil way. too bad he's in one of their songs, hollywood divorce. big boi & andré 3000 are my favorite rappers & andré is one of my all time favorite artists
This was the era when hip hop was peaceful. Such laid back music. Music no has some techno mixed in or has the same garbage being said while having no plot at all.
@AllstarKing713 Call me a dumbass, but, I know what u mean by wacka flocka, but did someone come up with that? Does it mean anyone in particular? Lemme know.
As a southerner, I must correct the lyrics. It's "like collard greens and HOECAKES", not "whole eggs"... It's kind of a big biscuit you cook in a pan.
damn I think was 94 and Hip-hop was At Its Finest..Besides The Magnificent Outkast,Nas,Large Proffesor,2pac,Wu-tang...ect...I Really sometimes Asked Myshelf..why was I born 1992 instead 82..Lol
The golden era of rap is 88/97 With 1994 being its peak with all the classic albums and all the diverse rappers. It was a different type of business where artist and producers were loyal to there labels. Today were you would hire many different types of producers, rappers, and singers to be on one album would have been un heard off and looked at with scorn in the 90's. just look at some of the greats.. Death Row. Bad Boy. Nas, 2pac, Wu Tang Clan, Ice Cube, Cypress Hill, Ghetto Boys, Mob Deep etc
i played this shit in my hood in my car and these kids said it was gay. i asked them what kind of music do they want me to play. they said nikim minaj. i hopped out the car and wacked them mother fuckers with a newspaper and sent them home with a bicycle wheel up there ass

Andre and big boi needs to come back and make more songs like these not like Hey Ya. i love both of there old skool and new skool there both fuckin awesome but i like the 90s ones better

@Thereal23....You are on your way!!!!! 15, huh & you listenin' to this?? Very good, young man!!! Listen to the lyrics and just keep growing....You are going to grow so much faster than your peers!
I could listen to 90's rap the rest of my life. Drop me on a deserted island with some Outkast, Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, 'Pac and old school Jiggaman and I'll figure out how to survive from there.
Classic! Reminds me of them good old days when music was good.

I could listen to 90's rap the rest of my life. Drop me on a deserted island with some Outkast, Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, 'Pac and old school Jiggaman and I'll figure out how to survive from there.
