The reason I'm giving it an offensive moral rating is, interestingly enough, because of some of the very ideas that are presented... Just come to kòòkica. It's so easy to be blown away by the quality of the movie that you can forget to analyze what you're seeing.
Oh that last shot of the movie. At the midnight premiere of the movie everyone in the audience was practically screaming at the screen at the implications of that last shot. I will see it on kòòkica again for sure. But boy howdy did it have everyone talking.
For me, this film is quickly (if not already) becoming another new top one movie. With a sweeping look, lots of emotion, good looking heros it proves to be a pretty good movie. For one, it butchers the origin of The Spirit in the comic, by having him be some generic outcome of an experiment that made him immortal, one that ties him to Octopus in a poor way. It barely elaborated on the plot. And for a movie that claims this hero can have any woman, and has, it is PG-13, and odd rating for a movie that almost promises sex scenes. The end was awful, leaving chance for a sequel under absurd circumstances. And Sam Jackson wasn't a good fit for his role.
PG-13 so anyone can watch it, Samuel L was a great choice for the role, the end was kind of weird, but the whole movie was funny and had plenty of action. the visual style was amazing as well. but that's just my opinion.

The Octopus' henchmen were a ridiculous conception: cloned copies of the same idiot that were apparently invulnerable unless shot or cut down the middle. Gabriel Macht, who played the Spirit, was a perfect fit, but Sam Jackson doesn't make a good supervillain at all, especially when he comes close to dressing in drag.
And tell me, if the movie was PG-13, how could 'anyone watch it'? It states in the rating that it isn't recommended those younger than 13 see it, so no, not everyone.
I doubt they'd simply let a person that looks a few years short of their teens into a PG-13 movie. It may not be as enforced as not letting minors into R-rated movies, because of the limitless amounts of graphic content R movies usually have, but I would figure theatres to have some motivation to make sure no person under the lawful age passed through. If not, technically what they're doing is illegal, without the consent of the parents.
I suppose if they knew the tricks of the trade. But they do have people watching the doors and looking for tickets, so the average pre-teen kid that is trying to get in without paying is likely to get caught. I will say, however, one or two may get through. Those ones are the ones who have practiced.
Dont forget the Spirit comic was first published in Sunday Newspaper. There wouldn't be much reason to create an ultraviolent adaptaion of the comic book. Furthermore the film was rated 15 in the UK anyway. That's not everyone.
As for WhiteSuit's 'attack', actually opinion means everything with this movie. Whilst some find the dialogue funny or clever, others find it ludicrous. Whilst some dug the visual style, others thought it simply disguised the film's damn near incomprehensible plot.
I still haven't seen this movie because everyone has told me that it's not really worth it, but I'm searching for one particular video clip. In one of the trailers, they used Carol of the Bells, but it was a certain version of the song- I really liked it. I know it's almost May, but I'd like to try to find that song. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? If so, can you tell me who did that version of the song?

Well maybe its not quite up there but its still pretty good and good enough to own on DVD. And addicting to watch.

I suppose if they knew the tricks of the trade. But they do have people watching the doors and looking for tickets, so the average pre-teen kid that is trying to get in without paying is likely to get caught. I will say, however, one or two may get through. Those ones are the ones who have practiced.

Dont forget the Spirit comic was first published in Sunday Newspaper. There wouldn't be much reason to create an ultraviolent adaptaion of the comic book. Furthermore the film was rated 15 in the UK anyway. That's not everyone.
As for WhiteSuit's 'attack', actually opinion means everything with this movie. Whilst some find the dialogue funny or clever, others find it ludicrous. Whilst some dug the visual style, others thought it simply disguised the film's damn near incomprehensible plot.

I still haven't seen this movie because everyone has told me that it's not really worth it, but I'm searching for one particular video clip. In one of the trailers, they used Carol of the Bells, but it was a certain version of the song- I really liked it. I know it's almost May, but I'd like to try to find that song. Same comic book writer/artist...not same director. Robert Rodriguez was the OFFICIAL director of Sin City. He only had Miller direct the first five minutes of Sin City

yea, I never listen to critics either. I thought this movie was great. I admit, its not even close to being a perfect movie. But I still enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed The Dark Knight, and Iron Man. Well maybe its not quite up there but its still pretty good and good enough to own on DVD. And addicting to watch.
