  • I used to be interested in martial arts when I was younger and from what I did learn and what I know about real fights Aikido is the one I would recommend the most because you will develop real fighting skills without taking large numbers of concussions to your head that can cause serious problems in later life.

  • Nice vid. Seriously distorted music though.

  • Ахренеть, блин! Супер!!!!

  • I always respected Christian Tissier but I don't like the spectacle his demos can be. After seeing this I look at him in a whole new light, he really is amazing and his movements are so smooth and natural. I just became a fan.

  • What is the name of the song in this video? Thank you in advance.

  • What's the name of the technique at 1:10?

  • @BokkenMasterSRB

    koshi nage

  • @Imperativ99 Thank you!

  • Great Vid, haven't trained in Aikido for a bit but all the peps that bag it for lame kicks and punchs..... they just don't get it. Acting it is not, if the 'challenger' was not trained he would not get up, ie its about learning to take the power and flow of energy. For example if you look closely at 0:51 the guy being thrown... his right arm comes down in a slice motion to the mat reduce the impact of his body on the ground. My advice would be to take a few lessons and then bag if you still wish

  • Why this horrible noise/music

  • What separates a master from a novice? Knowledge.

  • °° SUPER °°

  • he's immortal in melee fight LOL.

    love to see him fighting

  • Tissier is great aikido master!!!!!

  • Toujours au top Christian !

  • why just about all the Aikido fighter about 6 feet tall

  • damn i have been training Aikido almost 1 year and this dude is AWSOME! i have seen my trainer inn battle and hes kinda that guy that always get throwen to the ground compared to this :o

  • @urdadurr

Blue Belt? What organization are you in? I'm USAF and we go by kyu (6th-1st) and dan (1-10). To my knowledge there are no other colors than white and black.

  • 6th kyu = white, 5th = yellow, 4th=orange, 3rd=green, 2nd=blue, 1st kyu=brown, 1st dan... is the same, but with colours.

  • 1:04 hell yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah randori !!!!!!

  • He makes it look so easy. That's an amazing demo.

  • @ZirbMonkey Thx

  • @ZirbMonkey i know this feeling ... everything looks so simple and clear, and when you try it in the dojo, you notice how much skill and knowledge is beyond it, and that you are actually lightyears away from his perfection.

  • Il est le meilleur !!!

  • il est bon rien à dire!

  • holy shit!!! Tissier is a god!!!

  • Jop

  • nice visual and audio effects!

  • Thanks you very much.

  • Those moves are So damn hard to make. Really good demo!

  • Yes, they are :D! Thx

  • i love how in every aikido vid there is at least one guy that says "fake". listen. i got my blue belt a few months ago and i got to say it really isnt. ud have to take a class to understand but heres a tip: the faker it looks, the better the better the move has been performed. if it looks fluid enough to look rehearsed then he got it down perfectly... well thats my 2 cents :)

  • blue belt? what kind of Aikido are you practicing?

  • well apparently its really traditional and it follows O sensei's teachings very specifically. without modifications. it still follows the system of Dan and stuff but there are also 4 belts that you can get: white, blue, brown, and black. but of course u got to Master ur moves to move up so it makes up for it lol. another thing is that im in haiti and we do things ghetto here so maybe thats y we have the belt thing XD

  • Don't get concerned about your system of aikido using colored belts. I've been involved in aikido for over 40 years, working in many different dojos and systems. Some use colors to designate different levels of white belt, some don't. No biggie. Just enjoy you practice and keep learning

  • well thank you friend lol will do XD

  • @urdadurrr sooo true, i heard similar words from 7th dan Robert Mustard last weekend

  • @urdadurrr If those people aren't content of what happens in aikido, then let them continue their brutal and untechnical ma, like western boxing and wrestling.

  • @urdadurrr

I had that attitude myself 3 months ago. Then two people that goes to my school had a class of aikido and krav maga with us at the end of the year. After I volunteered so that I really could withstand and prove it couldn't be that easy, I totally lost that attitude. It's real and it hurts.

  • Кристиан супер!!!!!!!!

  • Он наверно супер.

  • ha un bellissimo movimento.....!!!!

  • Outstanding and inspiring video. Cheers mate.

  • como se llama esta cancion

wapisimo lo que hace este maestro

  • how long does it take to train all those guys to flip and fall down like that?

  • roughly 1 yr to get the concept, but to fall like that, about 8

  • search "comkaijudo"

    for more aikido vid.

  • in any nearby Aikidojo.

    Tissier Rulz

    Aikido Rulz foreva

  • He must have started learning Aikido when he was 3 years old to get that good.

  • un grande maestro!!!! meraviglioso complimenti a sensei tissier !!!!! spero un giorno ti poterlo incontrare.

  • Bruce Lee actually praised Aikido, but never really used anything from it for JKD.

  • thats because he new a good thing when he saw it :)

  • There are several drawings in the TYao of JKD that are Aikido moves. That's where I first heard of it. It's in there, just blended very well like everything else he used.

  • I hear this for a first time, and when you got in mind the grudge that both Chinese and Japanese hold it is marvellous that Bruce Lee praised Aikido. It's just a shame for him that he had to die so young, but as the old saying goes a white bird cannot live among black birds.

  • Maravilloso!

  • Gracias!

  • i have not only used Aikido to defend actual attacks on me physically but have used verbal Aikido as well in closing a sell...Aikido works...i am 5'9" 125lbs and have neutralized an opponent WITHOUT having done permanent damage to my opponents body or his pride..

  • Well in a "real fight" (whatever that might be) it just might not look like this - people floating through the air - but it sureley works, as far as my (small) experience in "street confrontations" goes.

  • I talked to a friend that actually is a black belt and he told me that in a street fight, it would go pretty quick considering as to how not everybody is trained in how to fall to not get their joints broken. These moves could break joints easy and not many people would be willing to continue fighting with a broken joint

  • Indeed, what Hated2hell said. Aikido would be pretty painful to train with non-experienced guy in aikido. Like in 0:12, the jump is uke(attacker) performing ukemi and going with the move, 'cause otherwise hes hand would get broken.

Unlike loads of people think, aikido is really a painful art when it comes to locks. Its a different thing can aikido practiser really use it in a real situation. :)

  • This is not a judgement call but If Tissier is among the best Aikido has to offer... how well does one suppose he would fare in a match up with the best other Martial Arts have to offer such as one of the Brother's Gracie.

I am genuinely curious because I have never seen aikido in competition with any other style of Martial Art.

  • proper ethics in Aikido result in as little harm being done to your opponent as possible..as far as competition..i have seen Gracie strike and kick as well ( out side of jujitsu format ) a Aikido master would have to use other tools as any other fighter in one on one competition. remember what Master Bruce Lee said about its practical and holistic use(martial art in general)

  • A Rennaisance. Strangely enough, that went with it.

  • Is this type of martial art works in a real fight? Sorry my ignorance, I do really like this.

  • Yes, Aikido works.

I hope that Tissier's aikido works too.

My aikido don't works, maybe after 30 years.

  • In my opinion this style of Aikido called aikikai (wich focusses on harmony and showie movements)doesn`t work for real.

The only style of aikido that does work is Iwama Ryu (wich concentrates on Aikido as a true budo form) But hey that`s my opinion:)

  • Iwama style focuses a little to much on kihon. To learn proper timing you need to train awase and ki no nagare as well.

BTW, I'm also an Iwama style aikidoka.

  • Hi onemasse,

yes iwama ryu does focusses alot on kihon. But in our dojo we doe really train alot on awase and ki no nagare as well.

I think this works great for your timing as well.

  • beautifull~~~ its like a choreograph dancing of pain~~~

  • is tissier better than seagall?

  • Well, I wasn't on Segall's seminar, so I can't say yes or no. I think that Tissier better, his style is from Doshu Kishomaru, but Segall is using Isoyama style. And I think that Aikikai is more elegant and civilized style :D

  • true

  • I would say there is no "better" one... In aikido you will never get perfect. I read some books of Tissier and i can say he is a very impress person.

  • I love it when he's doing Iriminage...

so nice and nearly perfect :)

  • I agree !

  • 1:07 is Awesome, too

  • 1:18 is Awesome

  • 1:18 is Irimi Nage

  • @adventure303 had practicaly a whole session with different variations on it the other day and was fun 8)

  • Nice vid!

  • thought he presents excellent technics. this is art really!!!

  • I recognize the song as "A (Renaissance)" from Dance Dance Revolution, if you google it a bit I'm sure you can find more info.

  • whats the song please ?

  • I am so sorry. I realy like this song, but I must say that I donno name.

  • watching this movie, and just commenting the song - is this all you're interested in? I'll recomment you to get degraded back to your gray rope again ^o^

  • tissiers aikido speaks for itself. also, please try telling me this while where on the tatami together.

  • Haha. just lets get this straight, today at 05:45PM (cuz it's wednesday), meet u there :-P

  • The way of the warrior is found in death. I will be present.please don´t hold back during the fight.

  • Hello! I have i BIG BIG REQUEST! What song is playing on the background, i need it for demonstration... Thank You!

  • awesome....

what song is playing in the background?

  • a master piece of motion..very nice..tx for sharing the video....

    saluti.

  • bravo dio max hai capito proprio tutto

  • El mejor exponente del Aikido, un Aikido puro y tradicional llevado a la máxima expresión. Excelente video!

  • he could at least use a different pant or something :p (5/5)

  • Watch him makes me want to train 8 hours a day...

too bad i settle with 2 times a week... :S

  • Know how you feel!

  • EXACT SAME !!!!!!! i only train twice a week aswell (n)

  • at my martial arts class we only get 30 min 2 day a week classes

  • that sucks our warm-up takes about 30 min

  • same thing

  • Tissier's aikido seems very combat-ready, i dont mean that in a bad way, it doesnt look hard like yoshinkan but just very intense and would really hold it's own if it came down to it. Don't get me wrong I'm sure all the shihan would be able to its jus Tissier's aikido just looks that little bit more intense

  • vow

  • best video

  • I hope. Thx

  • bravo!
