Small data center huh? ;) I really like this video man! Although, when you first started showing of the hardware, I would have either 1) dimmed the music just a bit so you could explain it to your audience, or 2) kept the volume of the music where it was and just add a simple overlay of text to each section of your servers. Still a cool video though!

I dont see the point in running that many servers I would say you could do all that on 2 or the servers well even 1 if you want to virtualize it. It would save a lot on power bills.

Hey can I ask you a question - trying to set up some websites/thinking of using two or three rackmounts from Rackable Systems....BUT there are no cd/dvd drives on these systems so how do I install the OSs - maybe a network install is that possible before I install the OS ???

All you need to do is use an external DVD drive to install the OS. The Rackable Systems units also allow PXE boot.

no its a rittal rack that costs at least $1500 brand new.. i got it for free (sponsorship) in good used condition. if you watch the video again, youll see that there are multiple servers in the rack(if you dont rememer that).. and i leave one service per server for stability reasons..
