i saw glass moon in puerto rico. a hotel's pool was turned into a stage. after the show some kids jumped into the pool. amazing band, songs. i had this record back in the day. here daves myspace for those interested.
If you guys like this, tune in Sunday mornings to KSHE for 4 hours of awesome music! I look forward to Sundays just to see what John Ulett is going to come up with for this week.
I haven't heard this for at least 25 years or more. Still sounds fucking great! I bought the self titled album that this song was on. I only remember this and the song "Sundays and Mondays", which was my favorite on the album. I think they also covered Peter Gabriel's "Solsbury Hill" on this album. "Killer At 25" received a decent amount of airplay on FM radio here in Maine when it was released. I've always wondered what happened to Glass Moon. They deserved to be much more popular.
Glass Moon was originally a 4 piece (guitar, bass drums & vocals) and without keyboards were still playing the hell out of Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, etc. Dave Adams was the last one to join.
The first album was recorded after the singer (Rodney Barbour) and the guitarist (John Wheelis) left the band. Guitarist Jamie Glasser played on the first 2 albums, along with Dave Adams, and original drummer Chris Jones, and bassist Nestor Nunez. But with that line up, the band only played 1 gig.
I can't believe as of 4/12-10 this only has 858 views. Those in the know in St. Louis, know and love this song. Like reedy says-KSHE-95. Thanks KSHE-a station that broke the rules and tossed stuff like this on the air-just because it was good.
@DowntownSteveREALTOR I also grew up with KSHE-95 who were not afraid to play the best music available. I cannot believe the dive music has taken but we at least have youtube to be able to find good tunes again after our tapes break, our albums are scratched...
Great song! Takes me back to my high school days in the late 70's early 80's growing up in Raleigh. Saw these guys a few times at the Pier with Arrogance. Wish we had bands like them today!
@Chriscjb63 They are playing at the Lincoln Theater this June on the 5th. PKM will be the featured band Mike Gardner is having his 2nd annual Parkenson's Desease Benefit. Last years show Fn' rocked. See you there.
Check out "Return to Comboland" on Google/the web, or type in Glass Moon Carousel for another flashback. Dave Adams may not be pushing this, but his producer is.
Nice hearing this one again my friend! I think they did a cover of Solsbury Hill on this album too, but it was a bit lame though. Thanks for doing all you do.
Used to hear this on WHSL 97.3 in Wilmington NC. Awesome.

these guys deserved so much more--this track, carousel, blue windows, simon, and she's on rocked (dancing in my sleep was much lighter)
--this one has a section of "spinal tap" riffs about midway through, rocks!
