It's almost impossible to find any bag that does the job better. Otus slips to the other side like a glove and you can through the bag if you want and there is no damage. On the otherside you can put laptop in safe compartment and there are LOT of little pockets around where you can put cables, passport, flight documents etc and even a spare t-shirt :)
Too bad the turntable platter doesnt spin in relation to the BPM of the track! If it did, I would buy it. Honestly. I'm getting the Denon HS5500 instead.
can someone answer this question: can the midi knobs/controllers also be applied to pitch (i really like to have something to grab for fine pitching) while still being able to use the touch sensitive pitch section for the rougher pitching, thus both at the same time. If this is an option this midi controller is very near to perfection....
the pitch controller butoon looks not that effective. i love midi controllers but the this midi controller is way overprized. i saw not good reviews about it.
i know that Cdjs are expensive but we are talking about MiDI controllers. you know that behringer BCD3000 is like 130.00 bucks and actually works better in ableton than this
There is no usual crossfader on Otus. With multiple audio outputs etc Otus designed to be plugged in external hardware mixer (even though you don't have to). Those who want to use crossfader "seriously" don't trust just any crossfader but prefer the one from their favourite mixer.
If you want crossfader only for fading to next track then you can map it to one of the knobs or the touch pad etc.
Is this you in the video, I ask because I want to know what the quality and build feels like on the Otus. Thinking about getting a pair of these to control 4 decks in traktor. The other choice for a little more is the stanton SCS1D giving a more vinyl feel. I would rather these as i prefer the CDj style jog wheel setup. So if its you or you have used some would you recommend. Also do they come with that carry case that we see at the beginning of the video.
it's great! i have one and have not looked back!

I also have the Otus and I must say I totally love it. Just one question though, do you like the Otus bag by UDG?

The pitch isn't that worse!
I know someone who tried it and really, it isn't that worse!

I started off DJing using Ableton Live but then purchased some CDJ-800s and haven't turned back since.
However, I'm looking at doing some stuff with Traktor and possibly Ableton again.
How intuitive would you say the Otus is to use and how responsive is the jog wheel compared to CDJs?

they made 2 bad design of this unit: 1. the touch pitch and 2. no crossfader but a know instead.

Yes, anything can be assigned to anything

I'm pretty sure the side of the jog wheel is a fine pitch adjustment. Not too sure though.
