  • EVERYONE!! THIS BUILDING IS FIREPROOF AND DID NOT COLLAPSE...WHY KEEP TURNING YOUR BACK ON THE FACT THAT 911 WAS A SCAM CONSPIRED BY TERRORISTS INSIDE OUR GREAT NATION...STOP BEING COWARDS AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK...911 WAS AN INSIDE JOB! NANO THERMITE WAS FOUND ON SITE! BUILDING SEVEN ALSO COLLAPSED WITH NO DEBRI DAMAGE AND MINIMAL FIRE!! THE OWNER MADE 6 BILLION DOLLARS IN INSURANCE MONEY FROM THE POLICY HE TOOK OUT 2 WEEKS BEFORE! THERE WERE MASSIVE EXPLOSIONS HEARD BY 1ST RESPONDERS ON VIDEO!!!!

  • What a stunning view! Sadly, however, it's kind of reminiscent of the event on Sept. 11, 2001.

  • i think the govenment should take charge of it...

  • The problem in NYC WTC was the kerosene the plane had inside. This is not just a fire, is it?

  • fire regardless of accelerant burns at the exact temperature....so it wouldnt matter if there was jet fuel or not....WTC shouldnt have collapse since it had a steel frame

  • But i think kerosene involves a constant temperature much longer ( till it is consumed) over any structural element such a beam or column, and steel has a expected time of resistance. Compare this time with how long takes the fire to burn a carpet for example.

  • @DocumentaryDude LOL. Good one. Have fun trying to weld something with a disposable plastic cigarette lighter then. Fire burns at a range of different temperatures, so much so that you get different colours of flame depending upon temperature. Where do you think the term "white hot" or "red hot" comes from?

  • @wierdwesterner Where do you think the term "fire proof steel building" came from?

  • @samurai2828 Probably from the same people who called the Titanic "unsinkable".

  • @wierdwesterner I do like your analogy but "unsinkable" is not an engineering fact, it's pride, where as "fire proof building", such as the one in this video and the WTC 1,2 and 7, is an engineering fact.

  • @samurai2828 Speaking as an Engineer, I can assure you that there is no such thing as a "fire-proof building", it's just marketing for laymen. There are plenty of "fire-resistive buildings", which have fire retardation measures in-built as part of their design, but none of them are "fire-proof". If any type of structure is "fire-proof" over a short-term period, it would be a furnace and even then it is only "fire-proof" internally.

Hence the unsinkable comment, as nothing is unsinkable.

  • @wierdwesterner It's not just marketing for laymen. Steel buildings which are fire proof are called fire proof because they don't collapse or have 100% failure in there structure due to fire (office fire). The reason why we can melt steel in a furnace is because its a controlled burn which allows the fire to burn much much hotter. The Caracas is a perfect example of this. The blaze began on the 34th floor, spread to more than 26 floors, and burned for more than 17 hours. Still standing.

  • @samurai2828 It is very much marketing, fireproof is a keyword that all City Halls require from developers. If it isn't "fireproof" it doesn't get built or financed. Pride. The level of fire-resistivity varies widely from design to design. Some are very good, others not so good, NONE are perfect. These buildings are designed to counter office fires, which don't burn at high temps however WTC was not designed to resist an aircraft carrying tens of tonnes of fuel flying into it at 200-300mph.

  • @wierdwesterner I don't agree with you at all. WTC was designed for airline hits. Let's agree to disagree.

  • @wierdwesterner yes it was designed for that...you obviously had not done your research before posting such a fallacious remark....the engineers that designed those towers specifically reinforced the build so each could handle multiple airliner impacts due to its altitude or height. They were interviewed and did not believe that those plane impacts alone could drop the towers. scientific data known as PHYSICS says so...and that science is sooo good they still build structures using it...

  • @AntBanks2626 No it wasn't. Do you know why I know that? Because in the 1960s, when the buildings were designed, air crash investigation was in it's infancy. We didn't understand how aircraft crashed so we couldn't project how a building would respond to such a crash. The first test crashes and research into collisions with buildings came in the 1970s when Learjets were used in practical tests on nuclear reactor housings. Don't make up stories to suit your agenda, you look like a fool.

  • @wierdwesterner Well first off everything you just said was an assumption, since you are so smart you would understand the construction project manager's name was Frank A. DeMartini...He was interviewed explaining how the building could handle the impact of multiple airliners. Now I understand that he could definitely be wrong but how do you explain the numerous first responders, eye witnesses and videos of clear explosions before the planes even hit? How do you explain building 7? ill wait

  • @AntBanks2626 DeMartini did say that and head structural engineer, John Skilling, said that the structure could withstand the impact of a 707, estimating it would take several impacts to cause collapse. However they were referring to the mechanical collision and not the exothermic consequences of it, which was the reason for the collapse of the upper floors. As I said before, there had been no previous case of airliners colliding with buildings, so didn't understand the effects of the fuel fire

  • @wierdwesterner oh yeah..if you need a link to the interviews with the design engineers I can provide that to you...I can tell your the type of person who believes that building 7 went down due to fire. You also believe that there is no clear conspiracy here even though there is a mountain of evidence proving otherwise. Your country has changed for the worst, your money stolen, country has murdered millions,4 wars later and you still think the troops are fighting for our freedom in Iraq..sad

  • @AntBanks2626 Of course they are going to insist their design was up to anything thrown at it, it's not in their interest to declare anything otherwise. If they did, it would be effectively saying they weren't up to the job. Where is this evidence of a conspiracy? There is plenty for incompetence at many levels, including the US government, but nothing conclusive of conspiracy. As for my country, it is the United Kingdom, not the USA; I just have a more objective and unbiased perspective of 9/11

  • @wierdwesterner and if I can reply again... The First Interstate Bank Building is a 62-story skyscraper in Los Angeles that suffered the worst high-rise fire in the city's history. May 4, 1988, 64 fire companies battled the blaze, which lasted for 3 1/2 hours. In spite of the total burnout of four and a half floors, there was no damage to the main structural members and only minor damage to one secondary beam and a small number of floor pans.

  • @samurai2828 The FIB Bank didn't have it's central core compromized by 80 tonnes of aircraft for a start. Fireproof building is a misnomer, there's no such thing. Structural engineers simply project a likely intensity of office fire, design a retardant design to counter it and thencall it "fireproof", just like some buildings are designed to withstand earthquakes, but only up to a certain load and displacement. It can survive a 6.5r but not an 8.5r, then they still call them earthquake-proof!

  • @samurai2828 dont worry about that guy bro..men like him dont matter anyways...what is a person like him good for anyhow? Lets say he was to figure it out...What would such an impotent minded person be good for?...I know...nothing...this country has no more room for lame, apathetic, useless cowards such as him...IF THE WHOLE MUSLIM POPULATION CANT BE LOOKED AT AS TERRORISTS BECAUSE OF A FEW EVIL PEOPLE, THEN THIS COUNTRY CAN NOT BE SEEN AS THE LAND OF THE BRAVE BECAUSE THE ACTIONS OF A FEW...

  • @DocumentaryDude Fire burns at a range of temperatures dependent upon the conditions in which it burns. Ever heard the terms "white hot" and "red hot"? It is based upon the colour of the flame which indicates the temperature it is burning at. I know it may be difficult for you, as an American, to understand that there may be more to fire than just that it is hot. I appreciate that you being burnt at 500 degrees makes little difference to being burnt at 3000 degrees, but there is a difference.

  • so the government is going to tell me that the wtc 7 building fell 9/11 because of a fire when then again this building didn't fall and this building was golfed in flames.

  • Can you explain what 'golfed in flames' means? I know what engulfed in flames means. I bet that was not a typo and you are just as uneducated as your post makes you sound.

  • The TRADE CENTERS were rigged to blow

that's why this tower stays up.

    It REALLY was an Accident.

  • Take a physics class asshat!

  • Funny you should say that.

  • Karma.

  • wtc 7 was done in 1987 so not sure where you get those 30 yrs from. ALso thermite was found at the site of the twin towers. yeha nice try. looks like fox news and cnn tell you everything. Hey how about you tell my why the fbi still never charged bin laden for the attacks? maybe fox news will tell you.

  • The North Tower was finished in 1972 and the South in 1973. And please NOTICE the word "nearly " between "been" and "30 years"... As for CNN and FOXnews things, you should ask the whole Chinese people instead of asking me for the answer, LOL~~~You'll find the answer quite interesting to you, CNN has already become an adjective in Chinese. Do a search on Google, it's really funny.

  • well we were talking about building 7. not the twin towers. anyways agree to disagree. have a good one.

  • are terrorists attacking china now, if they are they are not very good, in the us terrorists can make a building fall with only 7 floors of fire, this is hilarious you lame terrorists

  • china is good National

  • 9/11 "Truthers"

I believe Kyle Broflofski (SP) said it best when he said "1/4 people are retarded."

  • I am not a truther, I just don't believe the official conspiracy theory the government came up with. 2nd. Since the FBI never convicted bin laden for 9/11 based on no evidence why not look for the truth. DUH!!!!!!!!

  • wow, this fire caused a terrible pollution air in Beijing in the next day, we even can not see anyting with the distance of 300 metres

  • Notice how all the "debunkers" instantly say "Hey watch out for the conspericy nuts, there gonna say something about building 7. NOOOOOOOOOO ALL HAIL OBAMA, OBBBBBAAAAA MA remember he's gonna fix it, just like bush was gonna do... just like clintion... just like bush1... damn it why did JFK have to mess up that proud line of traitors and fight for the people, what an ass hole. ENJOY THE DEPRESSION/ REQUIRED OBAMA WORSHIP/SERVICE

  • U need help

  • huh, the 9/11 douche bags are wondering why this building didnt collapse?

Theres nothing inside it to fuel the fire and it didnt suffer structural damage like that of a massive plane flying into it. Oh yea, and theres no jet fuel involved which burns hotter than the black powder that set this one off. Chaulk this one up to Chinese lack of planning and trying to look like Taiwan with their Taipei 101 fireworks display.

  • yes, just keep drinking the cool aid. And don't mind the police state we are setting up, and ignore the fact the government is pissing on your constitution. Just keep watching the paided off mass media and , and hey they even got FEMA "camps for you now, life is sweet

enjoy the created depression your country is going 3rd world, damn terrorist if they didn't attack the shadow government wouldn't have so much power to kill the constitution and enslave us.

  • you have been drinking the cool aid. Probably has fluoride in it too. Oh but wait the government tell you it's good for you so you probably drink it.

  • please son, fluoride??? I would need 40 gallons a day+ phyche meds before I believe the governments story. I'm tired of arguing, you government has been hijacked by INTERNATIONAL BANKERS, that want world government, but in order for that to happen they need the US to be on its knees so they throw away their rights and constitution (the only thing keeping them from complete rape of the country.) So if you want to believe everything is alright (500,000+ jobs lost a month) fine, enjoy I will fight

  • I know the u.s. has been hijacked. I call them the money masters. they run everything and plan it all.

  • LOOK at the aftermath video - the builing is at 30 degrees tilt - THAT STRUCTUAL DAMAGE !! This bulding was on fire for 8 hrs - the WTC collapsed in under 2 , CRACK OF SHIAT !!!!!

  • LOL, that's not structural damage. It's been designed to be like that! Check out the photos of the Mandarin Oriental on Google. Also it's not proper to make a comparison between the two buildings. CCTV is a new one while WTC had been built for 30 years. The progress that the construction industry have made over the past 30 years cannot be overlooked.

  • Comment removed

  • the Mandarin Oriental Hotel building was designed like that, the fire didn't cause structural damage. take a look.

    snipurl((.))com/c1chl

and learn to do research, otherwise you'll look like a fool.

  • U're right, my bad.

  • True, 7 wasn't hit by the plane. Proving what?

Let's see, we'll turn on that little switch, TARD, and see what happens when an uncontrolled building demolition happens next to another. Ever wonder why so much planning goes on for controlled demos? No - course you didn't think of that. . .

It's to prevent buildings RIGHT FRIGGIN NEXT to them from getting damaged beyond repair and possibly collapsing. . .

See, it's easy if you try. . .

  • Hmm funny how all 3 world trade center building came down at the rate of gravity after only a few hours of fire. And this one still stands. Something sounds fishy.

  • Yeah, so fire only does what fire does.

Throw a couple of planes in, destroying structure, add fire, and realize that the WTC was what, 30 years old? jeeminy willikers, bobby, it's a wonder!

but here you have a BRAND NEW building (much later construction techniques) which had ONLY FIRE (i.e. NO major structural damage due to large vehicles flying into them) . . .

wow - there's a switch on the back of your head - flip it "UP" to "ON" please.

  • U fool. WTC 7 was not even hit by a plane. Also the twin towers were built to withstand a 707.

wow-there's a switch on the back of you head. tard.

  • The WTC twin towers were built to withstand a 707, it's true~~more exactly it is to bare the impact of a 707 carrying more than 70 tons of jet fuel......But it's more likely that the WTC were burnt to collapse instead of being hit to collapse, concrete structures are just like noodles at the temperature of over 600C...

  • WRONG more like over 1100 C. Then it weakened while having no resistance what so ever. Also jet fuel does not burn hott enough.

  • I'm afraid I've to come back, 1100C might be the melting point of iron or sth. Actually, the melting points of single metals are quite higher than that when those metals got mixed. The WTC are typical steel structures, not concrete ones, sorry for my previous mistake. Normal steel structures won't survive over 15minutes in the environment of 450~650C if no protection measures were taken. ..

  • Even if we take measures, that does not mean we can prevent the building from falling down. It can ONLY lengthen the time from collapsing thus people have time to get evacuated......The airplanes destroyed several columns of the WTC(33/240 for North Tower, 24/240 for South Tower), that's 14% and 10% of the skirt of the supporting structures, which means if there were no severe crosswind and earthquake happens, the WTC would still stand.

  • The smoke detecting system and the Spraying system of the hit floors got instantly destroyed by the impact of a airliner at the speed of over 590MP/H. Also, it's been nearly 30 years and the fire resisting layers of the beams and columns were flaking off, thus the steel structures were almost naked to the flames. The top limit operation height of a firefighter's tower ladder is about 130meters and it depends on the weather condition, strong wind will ruin the rescue.

  • What an end to the new year!

  • how fast did WTC7 fall to the ground? and did it look like this? Hmmmmmm...

  • 有沒有任何傷亡? 塔仍然站立?

  • This suxx and it wasn't even finished...

Is it still standing or did it collapse, someone knows?

  • According to the official 9/11 investigation team, this fire should melt the steel and cause it to collapse. right?

  • 好大的火啊,,把大裤衩差点烧成一个大金条

  • OMG..!!! cAn sOme oNe tELl me,wHat is rEaSon wHy iT caUGht in fIre??

  • Its because you cant write normal except ThIS uNReAdaBle ShiT

  • world trade center's was an inside job they should never have come down and this fire should prove to the world that G.W. Bush and D, Chaney should be prosecuted for crimes against humanity.

  • It's not a hotel that is the building belongs to CCTV. For it didn't finish yet the reason why it caught fire is still unkown

  • They say firecrackers landed on the roof...but i highly doubt that normal firecrackers would do that.. prob an arrow or something shot trough an (open?) window and it set fire to stuff inside..

  • No it was a hotel. it was part of the CCTV tower project, but it was indeed a hotel.

  • They're not even doing anything about it. They keep on shooting the fireworks/firecrackers. I don't hear any fire trucks or police sirens going on. I bet there were a lot of people just standing around, watching building burn down. It's terrible. What a waste of hard work the construction workers put into building the building. I feel for them, greatly.

  • Sadder than the building going up in flames (and fortunately with *only* one loss of a firefighter's life) is that this event will likely mean the end of fireworks inside Beijing forever :'(

  • Now thats a real towering inferno.

  • How did the put the fire out that fast?

  • Maybe by blowing up the water tanks at the top of the building, and letting water flow into the lower floors?

  • You've been watching too many bad Irwin Allen disaster movies.

  • At least that hotel hadn't opened up yet!

It's a pity ...could had of provided hundreds of jobs...the developers must had been in tears after many years of work up in smoke like that.

  • The thing is, if it was fully furnished and functional, the fire resistant levels, doors, and walls along with extensive sprinkler systems would have made the fire no big deal. That's why you never see regular fires becoming huge in regular skyscrapers. But it was during construction with building materials just lying around everywhere like firewood.

  • Much of the fireproofing would have been installed as the thing was being built,

Personally, I think it has something to do with inferior materials. Look at that poisonous milk thing last year. They were putting toxic substences in the milk so it would pass inspection. This killed hundreds of babies. One contractor passing off something flammable as fireproofing could have caused this whole fire.

  • no the developers will got the money from insurances company hummy they gone a get the cash... : )

  • finally there may now be some laws on fireworks, fucking idiots

  • i never thought the terrorist would use 4th of july firework for this purpose

  • yes its a warzone for 2 full weeks and the 09 was the last day of the spring festival,

its a traditions to fight there demon's and try to make them run away, sadly the bad demon's come back right after and the good one don't come back "they don't have time to lose"

so a big fire at the end of the festival its a good omen and it will bring good fortune and prosperity for 2009

    Lol.

  • too bad WTC7 wasnt built out of steel.

  • yeah right WTC7 was made of wood and paper.

  • its obvious it was... look at it collapse.

  • The building burning is CCTV's new culture centre, fortunately they hadn't officially started using it yet so hopefully no people in the building. After this fireworks will be banned in cities for sure... finally, chinese new year is a warzone

    着火的楼是cctv新的文化中心,幸好还没正式开始使用,据说里面应该没有人。以后市里肯定会禁止放烟花鞭炮,终于

  • i was there. and it was the day before my birthday.

im so sad about that, they had work so hard building this city.

  • and people are still setting off fireworks...

are they that stupid?? theres a huge building on fire and they still let the fireworks off like seriously wow

(if those background noises are fireworks =S)

  • yes they are fireworks, is a tradition, is like the thanks givving in usa

  • funny, this building didn't fall down. kinda makes you second guess why WTC 7 fell down.

  • @strapt313 the building didnt fall because there is no force exerted. unlike in WTC and its around 100+ floor and this building only 34 floors

  • @MrIrreversible i wasn't talking about towers one and two. i was talking about building seven. which, according to NIST, was brought down, not by external damage, but by fire alone. if this is the case, why don't demolition companies just use old office furniture to bring their buildings down? it would be a lot cheaper.

  • let's say it's lucky it's not being used yet..

  • I guess It's the "year of the very flammable building."

  • haha...

  • its called Mandarin Oriental Hotel

  • Mandarin Oriental Hotel-Beijing. It's a chain and there are several throughout the world. There's one in Washington, DC.

  • ok, thanks

  • there was no ppl inside, so, nobodys death, it was under construction, and is 159 meters tall, but i dont understand why ppl explode fireworks?!

  • How much storey's it has ?

  • 44 floors, it was like WTC 7

  • Not at all. It was built very differently from the WTC buildings. First of all it's a hotel so there wasn't any need for continuous floor space (no tube in tube needed), second of all it was built with reinforced concrete and concrete encapsulated main supports. Read some of the morning after articles. There are accounts of concrete raining down from the building. That's consistent with spalling. Spalling occurs on concrete exposed to fire when the underlying steel heats, and expands.

  • But no collapse

  • I was always afraid during the spring break when people was firing rockets close to the buildings! Now my fear has been proven to be true!

  • omg .....ese edificio se quema!!! dios bendiga a las personas q van muerto en este incendio !!

padre nuestro q estas en los cielos

    santificado sea tu nombre

    venga a nosotros tu reina

danos el pan de cada dia

ruega por nosotros los pecadores ahora en la hora de nuestra muerte

    amen!!!

  • whole building still under decoration!

  • unbelievable!

  • 还放礼花鞭炮呢
