Both of them are dying and this is a "this cant be happening" song. Where he just says that theres no way you can leave me and go (in death).. Of course each person can have his own interpretation. I just feel Occam's razor applies here. The simplest explanation is usually the right one.

Well the person I love hasn't died (condolences to Dr. Jason Kidd) but she didn't know how much I loved her until I literally waited for her for 4 hours, standing outside on a school day, I did my homework outside.
