He is the son of Nsurat Sahib's brother or cousine who use to sit to left of Nsurat Sahib during his qawwalis and used to do harmonium and alaap wiht nusrat sahb

Nusrat was here in person and there is no equal. He will forever live in peoples hearts. Rahat is the successor. He has to fit in a very large shoe. He needs encouragement and credit. He's not trying to take over Nusrat. The guy is awesome yaar....for whatever he has displayed so far. By the time he is as old as Nusrat was...this guy is going to be Nusrat...I can say this with confidence. If Nusrat said this guy is the one...well he is doing a damn good job Give him some credit.

I think this is one of nusrat's songs which rahat has sung really well...people dont compare him with nusrat on the level of singing obviously they can't ...they compare him with nusrat when he sings nusrat's songs...for me this is one of his few which he has innovated beautifully.rahat was trained to have a squeaky voice but not as much as it is now..he took it very seriously..heheh
