i need to build one of those for physics class. how did you attach the two poles so they wouldn't tip over?

@dramarocker Did you get a response? We are trying to build a car like this and can not get the weight to unwind and make the car move. Any suggestions?

i would suggest using extra long string and try to make the axel as rough as possible so the string will catch on it and pull. for the wieght make the pulley smooth as possible enabling it to sting to glide
