  • Weapons out of my imperfections

  • HAY TRED KEEPS ME ALIVVVE, this shit is genuine

    '

  • Insiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide. Love it

  • @aperfectbk That's an epic, painful-sounding scream- I think I'd puke if I tried that.

  • This is so raw

  • you see i have to arm myself to fight you now

  • yeah the second verse is a bit different

  • Does someone go "woo" at 6:32? That wasn't meant to rhyme...

  • Maynard kind of sounds like Jim Morrison during the part Henry Rollins ended up doing.

  • Just when you thought the scream was at its peak...

    Dead in.....siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGJRFSIAOJNGDAKBGDZIOGNFSANGIOAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is this on the 72826 demo?

  • @ClassicColtCabana nope :(

  • @ClassicColtCabana

    Satan!

  • This was a good song.

  • this kinda reminds me of King Crimson midway

  • way better than the original, imo. I hear so much more emotiom here.

Plus the screams are just amazing. I get a huge rush like, everytime I hear it. I wish I could do that.

And of course, no henry rollins. Black flag is cool, but he should NOT be speaking in tool songs...pus his part sounds kinda stupid at the end.

Anyway Im so in love with this version. Im trying to download it.

  • lolwut

  • @Slave2thedrago fuck you dude the spoken henry rollins part is like my favorite part of the song

  • the most beautifull scream i´ve ever heard, believe ir or not it made me smile

  • that scream at 1:47 is amazing!!!! i love it!!!!

  • Damn good Demo dude, glad you post this, Great for all of us TooL fans

  • a mi me gusta mas justin¡¡

    creo que es mas interesante¡

  • I think Paul was such a better bassist than Justin or bassists from other bands

  • paul made undertow and opiate what they were, but justin was a much better replacement.

  • @yyyuuuguppy I agree holmes...but you would have never known a difference had Paul not quit.

  • @RoyalAnarchist I'm no expert but I've seen Justin play live several times and he can hold his own.

  • Sick demo! Man, I'd love to have that tool phallic hardware image. WHere'd ya get it? Plz lemme know!

  • i took a bunch of downloaded music from a friend and he had a tool album callled Opium Den which had tracks from Opiate and undertow anybody know anything about that

  • I think Henry does the talking part better.

  • Yes Henry Rollins does the talking part of Bottom

  • i said henry does the talking part better than maynard

  • Maynard's scream freakin ruled!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i am so used to expecting Rollins on the interlude that for some stupid reason I expected to hear him here, but it still sounds awesome.

  • it from a demo from 1992 called undertow (Out-takes)

  • Comment removed

  • Hey Nedak. I knew I knew you from some other tool stuff. I went through all of my tool playlist earlier, and saw the name. Thanks for all the uploads!

  • that's just an awesome track, no wonder they got signed. Tool is fucking amazing

  • where the heck did you get this track???

  • They are both great musicians. Justin and Paul. Whatever was between Paul and the band is their business. Leave it at that.

  • there wasnt a feud between them, just that TOOL was heading through a less metal sound than what Paul was into, as you could probably tell with TOOL not being Metal and Paul always rocking out in concerts.

  • It's hard to imagine a band in which all of the members are in total agreement about what sounds the best. I think it's completely understandable that somebody would end up leaving the band for that reason.

  • They're not totally in agreement they just know how to communicate and compromise instead of just kicking each others asses and breaking up.

  • julz1278 i agree with you 100%... I feel that they have a greater goal than just puttin out music for us to cattle to like sheep (although we do to some extent :P). They are all just very conscious of everyone else's opinions and ideas. If anything I think this group will correlate till the end of Tool's days much because they all seem to have that same drive for AWARENESS!!! :D

  • HOLY FUCK. that was an awesome mjk scream.

  • Maynards voice is fucking amazing. Wow. Thanks for this.

  • How the fuck do you get these? Thanks so much for them man.

  • the brigde blows me away every time!

  • @jonas227 This is Maynard in this version, right?

  • @jonas227 As opposed to the guy who features in Undertow.

  • I actually kind of like this version better, it's more raw and gritty.

  • I don't know if i prefer Keenan or Rollins on the interlude part, but either way.... thanx for all the rare demos, they fucking rock....

  • oh, that's Maynard.

  • i don't know for sure, but i think this is on "salival"

  • im pretty sure it isnt

  • no, sadly

  • It's on the CD "Undertow".

  • it's maynard for sure

  • I have a version of this song with Zach dela Rocha from rage doing the Rollins part. to bad its not on you tube. Find it and download it, it is bad ass

  • this fucking rocks

  • Was Pual on bass, or was this Justin?

  • Paul. Justin didn't come in until Aenima

  • Ahhh. Okay. I thought he left during the recording process of one of the two albums released in the 90's (Opiate is an ep, and not a full album to me)

  • He left during the recording of Aenima. Did a few songs.

  • Well, from what I understand he was slow, and took way to long to come up with material, and recording would've been longer with him than without him.But which songs did he do on Ænima?

  • He did Pushit, Aenema, Stinkfist, and Eulogy he had those all written by late 1994/early 1995 he wasnt slow at all considering he wrote a majority of the songs on Aenima by early 1995 and Aenima was released in October 1996. So if you think of it Justin slowed down the process.

  • From what i hear The record company is to blame for that, not Justin. I remember reading that Paul never got off his feet after Tool.

  • Paul only wrote the songs. none of his playing is on Aenima. Its all justin.

  • A long time ago Adam said that Justin came up with a lot of the riffs on Aenima. Basically showed up with them worked out in his head in the beginning stages of that album. I don't know if Paul had anything to do with Aenima at all.

  • Paul wrote stink fist, eulogy, pushit, and aenema. None of his actual playing is on the record. Justin figured out the parts from the scrath demos.

  • u talking about paul? he left cuz he wanted to pursue another project. He dint get pressured to leave or was forced to leave, he just wanted 2.

  • All of those projects went sour after one album or so I remember. He was a great bassist when he was in Tool, unfortunately not great enough.

  • I heard he left because he wanted Tool to go a more pop-sounding route, but his bandmates did'nt agree

  • he wasn't digging how progressive they were getting.

  • no i think paul wanted to get more pop

and the other guys didnt want that

  • no paul wanted an even more experimental tone

  • That can't be true. Look at APC. That's not anywhere near pop. Can't be Maynard that wanted the pop sound.

  • Pual wanted a more metal sound, hence all his jumping up and down during their concerts, old ones that is

  • @ToolNedak did he do anything on aenima?

  • @juxtapositioning it isnt to anyone, its nothing but an ep

  • you can find this on their toolshed demos also known as "72826" (satan typed on a phone)torrent that shit!

  • Seriously?! i'ma have to do that!

  • Where can i get this?

  • If you would like I'll be happy to host it on to fileshare and you can download it :)

  • Can I leave you my e-mail perhaps?

  • These are the original lyrics? Cuz i noticed a few differences from the one I am used to hearing... Did he he just say, using my imperfections as weapons?! This is a great version!
