  • Thats only one of are kicks.

  • @sifurey OUR*

  • @sifurey thats what happens when you can fight but can`t type

  • I would hate for that tree to be my knee! Very nice kick.

  • The kick you describe in the beggining and the one perform later have different intentions, and therefore different outcomes. The front kick you describe is supposed to be performed like that - It's pushing back both ways. The tree is more solidly planted on the ground than you, so you move, but in a fight it would push your oponent back. That is the intention. The wing chun kick seems to be simply intent on striking or causing pain. Different intentions, different kicks; neither is wrong.

  • @DocLow true but the one that works on something solidly planted can be used in both right?

that cuts down on thinking about whether or not the opponent has more mass than you or just knows how to negate the impact on a kick. Try propping a broom stick up against the base of a wall and letting it drop to the floor perpendicularly from the wall. now walk into the tip as it gets to the center of the drop and feel the amount of force produced. same concept i think.

  • @Kotani301 Again, these have different intentions. If you are in a situation where what you want is try to disable your oponents leg, I'm sure the wing chun kick will work great, but if you need to push back your oponent to get some air, or some room to get better strikes in, you'll have to use the other. Wing chun may favour proximity, but a lot of other styles use a greater range and can take advantage of that move.

  • @DocLow Depending on the placement ive found it can be used the same. In the long range as they move in you can either stall, drive back or disable depending on where the kick is placed. in the boxing range you can still apply it win all three ways if you don't modify the stance. and in trapping range its difficult to hit above the knee but if you position well while controlling the upstairs action you can drive them back, disable and stall in the same motions with out using a full chamber.

  • sorry about double post.

oh yeah if theirs anywhere i can contact you to get into more detail it would be awesome.
