The only thing i didnt like about this game was when i realized kefka was dressed like a clown. He could have been the most badass enemy in final fantasy, if it werent for that fregan clown outfit. But other than that, this game is definitely my favorite final fantasy game ever.

@Imcooler2000 I think the clown outfit makes him even more badass, he's so batshit insane that he doesn't care what people think of him. Loads of badguys wear black or leather, but it takes a real badass to wear stripes and polka dots. Just look at the Joker. The bright colours emphasize how crazy they are.

The song mentioned at your time reference is the Opera House song, and also happens to be Celes's theme. The little piano snippet at the beginning is Terra's Theme, which also happens to be the Main theme of Final Fantasy 6.

It's basically a PlayStation remake with CG scenes and highly boring loading times for a still-16 bit driven game :S nonetheless one of the best storylines and musical compendiums ever :D

well it's the best of the 2D-ish games of FF... better than 1 or 2, better than 3-4... and obviously better than 5... why? because the story is not that related to ff1-2 and 5, those are full of the crystal stuff, not sure about 3 or 4 yet... but ff6 is very... awesome... just great...

THE best Final Fantasy RPG I've played. The characters were classic, not overly done like some and the storyline was epic. Music was great and fit well. Kefka is by far the greatest villain I know of, more so than Sephiroth I'd have to say.

Best classic Final Fantasy, it pushed the SNES to its limits, the music for it was awesome the game play was excellent.

and the story wrapped the whole thing together, a vilain that actualy gets to conquer the known world and become a living god? That is some good stuff that realy hasn't been made cliche' yet as usualy the plot of most RPGs is to PREVENT the big baddy from becoming such.

I loved this FF i remember when i first played FF2 or FFIV back on the snes back almost 15 years ago before the FF i was really into the Dragon Warriors never got to play Dragon 3 or 4 till almost 2 years ago it sucked i had to wait til i was old enough to work to buy my own stuff but i remember buying this game on the snes back in 1994 for the price of 62 dollars i think man i would give to just go back one day in the 90s again those were the days.

I still have this game for SNES. Final Fantasy 6 has always been my favorite and till I die it will always be my favorite. I still feel pitty on Terra.

As for Shadow and Relm. There are reasons. But I won't say anything either to those who hasn't played the game yet. I highly recommend you play it.

I played FF6 first when I got Anthology. I'm so glad I did because if I had played FF5 first, it wouldn't have made a huge impact on me. I was 12 years old at the time so I had a hard time getting used to the downgrade in graphics. But Final Fantasy 6 made me embrace the FF classics right from the get-go. For an old game, it was fantastic.

Yes, but these sequences weren't, and when this game was made, on it's original system it wouldn't have the power to play musicf at the quality that we're hearing it now. In other words the music was specially made for the sequences

you know, if you look at the video where it shows Shadow on the Phantom Train. At the time where it flashes, you see Relm. I know someone mentioned this, but there is a segnificant reasoning for this, but I won't give it away due to spoilers. Just letting people know.
