If you're already in pain, why make it worse by taking it to a physical level as well as emotional. Anybody who's seen those cuts knows they've got to hurt. Besides, what happens if/when the pain goes away. Do you want to spend your life explaining past emotional instability to everyone who asks about the scars?

this song described this past spring for me perfectly. i worked like a dog and got horrible grades and was constantly exhausted as well as sick. people who barely did anything got A's and it drove me crazy. nobody knew why until I discovered that I lost my hearing and had chronic strep.
my life and grades have gotten better, but i still listen to this song in the few occasions i feel isolated about wearing a hearing aid and being sick.
to any current or recovering cutter read the book "Willow" by Julia Hoban it's amazing, you may find a kindrid spirit in willow, and it may help with your'e recovery. And even if you don't want to stop, you wil still enjoy it, it's a beautiful book, trust me, you won't regret it. :)

to any current or recovering cutter read the book "Willow" by Julia Hoban it's amazing, you may find a kindrid spirit in willow, and it may help with your'e recovery. And even if you don't want to stop, you wil still enjoy it, it's a beautiful book, trust me, you won't regret it. :)

if you took any time to look at the background of the singer....you would know that she has borderline personality disorder.
its so easy to just say "ugh so emo!..ugh! cutting!"when actually the persons who cut themselves aren't always "emo" it could be anybody!..like your neighbour, a cousin, even your dad...all these persons need are support and help to get through theyre depression!

I hate it when people judge you for it. Everyone has different reasons for cutting, and it's not about attention seeking.
You should be able to do whatever you want with your body, no matter what colour skin you have, how old you are or what your reasons are for doing it are.
