  • whta does abducted means ??

  • @TheKsa54321 same as kidnapped...they are dressed that way because that's the way they live, they live in their own strange world..crazy that's what I think.

  • @mootje1970 They are living in an isolationist religion, related to Mennonites - they have outdated ideas about women, education, technology, etc - they have little connection to the outside world. Kids only believe what they have been taught - if they know nothing else, they will believe their father. It is a tragic circumstance.

  • why exectly r they dressed like in the 1800 ?? i dont get it, can anyone explain ?

  • is it me or are these girls talking like zombies and quitely

  • This is beyond sad.

  • is this like living like amish people?

No sure if they really are brainwashed. When Amish teens get the chance to take a look around the world 83% comes back to they're own people O.o

And in a way i understand it... I mean look at our world...

  • @wolfje92 they are afraid and would rather live in lala land

  • @wolfje92 -- Mennonites are similar to Amish, but they aren't quite the same.

Anyway, I don't think it's so much that the Amish world is more appealing to them though. If they choose not to return, they're shunned from their church, their community and their own family. They end up alone, with absolutely nothing and have to build a life without any of their loved ones.

  • @caitob32207 Actually, I know a few ex-Amish people and they have great lives. There are communities of ex-Amish, and most of them are near their former Amish communities. I wouldn't say they have "absolutely nothing". There are more than a few organizations out there to help them transition. My friend already had a place to stay and a possible job lined up before she left her community.

  • @MissMidoria -- By "absolutely nothing," I meant the things that Amish people are taught to value, such as Church, Community and Family. Either way, the majority of people who leave the Amish do end up without much in the way of possessions. Of course, there are people who have a lot of help "on the outside," but there are more people leaving than there are services available to those who leave. Living right outside of Lancaster, PA, I've met many people who leave with nothing.

  • I think that the reunion should have been a private moment between the girls and their mother. This should not have been taped and in front of Dr. Phil and crew. An interview could have been conducted after they had a chance to talk and decompress.

  • Is it just me or does this seem so awkward for the girls?

  • phil is a money grubbing prick. i hate this opportunistic asshole.

  • brainwashed much! :(

  • You know, why don't people say " stupid paganism" whenever an atheist kills people because he has no sound morals?

  • their 100% brainwashed no doubt

  • this is really sad ):

  • This is seriously sad........they are obviously brainwashed

  • religion again?

  • @HancuffedLightning I agree! seriously why is everything people do built on religion!

  • lol religion

  • WTF!? Oo

  • This is really sad...

  • The kids are seriously brain washed from what I see. The way they act, they talk, they move, is very controlled and manipulated. The husband looks like a psycho amish.
