I think I know how a damaging Medigun would work:

-Only heals teammates up to 100%

-Damages enemies for 5 (maybe 10?) damage per second

-Damages disguised Spies

-Medic no longer regenerates

-Medic takes 10 damage when taunting with it

This actually makes sense. The medic gun regenerates cells. So if you regenerate TOO MANY cells the body can't handle it. and you get cancer. your body basically eats itself. ...that's the sort of shit medic can do @_@ ohgod

so the medic overloaded the healing meter by adding an infinite hp bar to the spy, so at hp lvl 1000,000, the spy turned into a midget, but he was standing in a poison hurt zone, so he turned to normal size. so the medic healed him to 100,001, which crashed the spies computer, which made in game divide by zero.

funny thing is, this has happened to me in gmod before :D don't get over 100,000 in a single shot and get damaged.

Fun fact, this is actually possible.

Took forever, but I made a medigun which would always overheal 125 HP classes (such as spy) up to a particular value whereby the health meter would show them to be dead. They're also stuck halfway in the ground, unable to move, which makes it very easy to bonesaw them to death.
