Now that I've watched this first video on the Canon XSi button info, how do I then find the next one in this series so that I can them in the proper order - Thanks
@12031300thst Its part of a DVD I made called, "Canon Rebel XSi Crash Course" - you can find it by clicking on the link in the video description. Thanks!
just got my Canon EOS Rebel XSi..not a professional photographer at all, currently viewing your videos to learn just how to use my camera..quick question, I see others are commenting that there is the live view feature?
Great video Michael. I recently purchased this camera and I love it. Your video was excellent in helping me learn more about this fantastic camera. All the best.
I just bought this camera, and it is my first DSLR so I still have alot to learn. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me exactly what the Main Dial/Primary Selector and the Exposure Compensation button do exaclty?
@footballlover1dl - It depends on what mode you are using, but they are used to change the Shutter Speed and Aperture (which is the opening of the lens). I would highly recommend my Crash Course DVD on the XSi, you have spent a lot of money on the camera, this course will get you up to speed in no time. Best wishes! M
@MichaelTheMentor Hey.. how can i have your dvd.. i just bought this camera too.. but i live in mexico, price will not be a problem.. anyway thanks :D
I just bought this crash course for Canon rebel Xsi and its worth spending your bucks. Try it, it will give you complete guide for your camera and other basic photography tips ...
@footballlover1dl Hey, I'm thinking of buying this camera. Are you able to zoom in with the lens that comes with the camera? If so, how much as in 10x, 12x zoom.
@asilvermountzion1983 The lens that came with it is a 18-55mm lens, and I belive it has about 3x optical zoom, if you really want a good zoom, you would have to upgrade to the 75-300mm lens which usually costs about 200$
OMG Michael! You did such a fantastic job at explaining things. Thank you so much. Even though I have the "old" Canon Rebel XTi I found this tutorial very helpful.
Thanks Michael - I just bought my 1st DSLR and got immediate buyers remorse from the complexity of the Canon XS 10.1. After watching a couple of your videos, I really think I can get this down. Question: do you have a training vid for the XS?
canon eos 450d can also records video using eos camera movie record software...u can download the software easily nowadays...but if u want to record a movie or something...u shud connect the usb cable to ur pc/notebook first...i've tried it b4 n it works well for me...
i think the print bridge is a great feature you may not have a computer in front of you and a printer that doesnt have a card reader slot and still be able to use your camera as a printer controller
the rebel xsi is awesome, my family got it as my first dslr for my classes in photography, good starter and easy to use. ive got a 10-22mm, the standard 18-55mm and a 55-250mm zoom lense. im now looking to get a fish eye or 300/400 zoom for starting sports photography.
Nice, I just bought an XSi and this helps to know how to control the camera- you explain nice and clearly, and after watching the video once I know the camera perfectly!
I know a lot about photography but when I got my new Canon XSi I was very annoyed that the manual did not have a layout diagram of the body! It only has step-by-step instructions on how to do every little thing; I don't need that! I just need to know what buttons do what functions!
THANK YOU!! NOw I can get the best out of my camera!
Once I have some more money (this camera wasn't cheap) I think I will order your DVD
I would like to ask somebody's opinion about purchasing a SLR camera. Which is generally better , Canon Rebel SXi or Nikon D60 ? No offense for the question. I've been reading reviews for a month already and I cannot decie. This Canon Xsi looks great, a lot of features and that big screen...
thank you thank you THANKYOU!!! i just bought my Xsi today and i cannot leave this video without extending my gratitude. also interested in checking out ur dvd as well. again thanks for posting this and anything that involves xsi tutoring.
My First into DSLR Camera..Canon EOS450D/Rebel XSI..Video very big for a beginner like myself have search everywhere finally I got your video clips..Thank you Michael.Cheers Md Adam BJ.(Brunei Darussalam, Borneo Island)
I just got my rebel xsi and i need some help. When I turn on my camera and take pictures, the pictures don't show up on the LCD monitor. When I press the play back button, nothing happens. I can't even press the menu button or any other button. If I press anything else, it says can't use this function in this mode or something similar to that. Some help please? Thanks in advance!!!
this would be a great question for my forum. Have you looked at my website? The forum is free and is exactly to help ppl like you when having problems.
Michael that was a great intro. to my new camera. Just purchased it last night and I'm so excited to to get clicking. Quick question - Do you recommend purchasing a high speed SD memory card vs. a regular for this camera - will you see much of a difference? and what size? Thanks
Hey Oisiaa- You are welcome, I just wanted to get this up for anyone wondering what all these buttons were about because the Rebel is such a common camera. You are welcome to check out my other free videos here. More to come!
