Thanks, and yeah, you have to beat the Bowser Tournament in the normal Tournament mode to unlock the Star Tournament.

Whats "Link" mode?

It lets you link to Mario Golf Advance Tour for the GBA. It lets you (permanently) transfer over your characters, clubs, etc. from Advance Tour, and you can unlock some extra stuff in Advance Tour as well.
