I had this need to know about the author after I read this magnificent book. Dr. Verghese has to be incredibly bright. I love love his works, I read cutting for stone in a little over day. It had been ages since I was so moved by a book. He's just so true in his passion for medicine, its a wonderful marriage; this passion and his talent for writing.
