The Computer On Dash Indicates The Car Topped Off At 115.9mph and I think I'll take notes from the computer. If The Needle On The Gauge Is Overly Hyped, Im Wondering what eles is overly Hyped About The Impala!

@suffolkvaboi It does have a speed limiter because it's drag limited to 154 mph (manufacturer's claim). But it will run just as fast as the one in this video did right out of the factory, as far as I know.
@packzach11 ... the only reason it was climbing like that is because it was probably just reset before this drive ... one run like this will not change the average by that much after an hour or so of driving ... i hit 130 last night in mine, and it didnt change the average speed at all ... but the gas gauge did its own fancy little disappearing act

Well, I did say it gives you "more power sooner". That was just a poor choice of words. You build rpm's quicker in lower gears because of the lower gear ratios. In third this car has a GR of 1.00:1 whereas in fourth it's 0.70:1, which basically means that third gear has a higher acceleration but a lower top speed as fourth. But I don't expect some immature 16 year old punk like you to understand something as complicated (Well, complicated to you) as gearing. Peace.
@JohnNumberThree my 03 monte is the same, if its in 3rd gear, (shifter wise) it pulls pretty good when its in 3rd, but if its in overdrive, the top end is pretty slow, but it cruises good around 70-80ish, at about 3500ish, but dont quote me, cuz i havent drove it much lately

It takes WAY too long to get to those speeds when you're in drive. Being in 3rd gear allows your RPM's to build quicker, giving you more power sooner, than if you were to just leave it in drive.
Well, if you mean 'how does it handle at those speeds?', then it handles great; smooth as silk. However, the brakes were a little sketchy on slow down that day.
