I have to say that I never liked GOW, either. When I die in any other game, I consider it a learning experience and a means for me to better my skills. With GOW, it just feels cheap and ridiculous. I spend more time reviving dumb comrades than shooting. The enemy A.I. is definitely terrible and predictable. If you're doing anything but walking or shooting, then the controls are an absolute mess (especially when it comes to rush n' cover). It's heaps of style built upon monumental flaws.
Woudnt give a rat ass about gears of war 2 and 3....( correcting) those story got cheesy with ancient locust caves, locust religion, and to much on the lambent shit...the lambent wretches were just fine but really...it got cheesy during gears of war 2 ... but gears of war 1 was fucking awesome

The characters are pretty much human, granted Dom was a bit cliche because of the crappy writer for Gears of war 2. But Barid and Cole aren't very cliche and Marcus is actually interesting.

I know that is why i didn't buy it. I know the COD series is better for multiplayer. The hoard mode and upgrades to gears 2 make it purchasable, but other than that I don't really think so.

Though the maker of this video makes no valid point in criticising gears of war, I feel it is a vastly overrated game, the story needs a lot more thinking, the graphics are dull and the enviroments are the same dirt colour, the music and characters are pretty forgettable. The only resounding quality of gears of war is the multiplayer. Play Braid instead.
