i wis our 2005-2010 ce300s had the light to show the ambers when there on and the reds when there on next to the gear shifter but we dont we only have the ones that light up on the dash above the gauges
Yeah, I know the ones you're talking about. I like both. Mine is equipped with the ones below the tachometer and beside the shifter and I like it because it shows which light is on and you'll deffinately know if they're off or on.
I love the dash light. Strobe light flashing out in the dark distance and lighting up everything then the ambers strobe and brake lights later come on. I love it.
@9sb19 i didnt get neither of the buses lol im getting a 2011 ic ce300 though the new buses are coming in in october they said so i have to wait for a new bus until then lol
@9sb19 yea it does kinda blow lol two drivers that have been driving there for like 20 years got them. i rather the ce300 though its got alot more features my favorite feature on the new ones is the engine brake i love the way it sounds when it drops u down a gear lol and then i like the flashers and door on the sterring wheel and all the other goods it has lol
Oh ok, cool. Yeah, I do too really like the steering wheel controls. Many, many drivers here love that. They say they memorize those and the other switchs so they don't have to look up like the C2 drivers have to.
Ok, I'm going to ask you something. Our EFs have the exhaust brakes. Is that the same general idea of the engine brake?
@9sb19 to be honest i have no clue if there the same none of our buses have the exhaust brakes that may be a feature on the new buses my ce300 dosent have that it just has an engine brake. an exhaust brake may like an enginge brake but im not completly sure lol
@9sb19 yea it is really handy whenever you take your foot off the gas it will drop you a gear to help slow you down. the mechanics like it to lol cause u dont have to use the brakes as much and so it helps save the brakes
They are. Just period, they are. I love it so much. To me, I'd have it first in the C class. They're made for the driver and for all drivers, not just one in general, made for all. I love the set up and the feel better than any other type C.

@9sb19 yea that exactly what i mean. like when i had my 2003 ce300 i knew when the lights were on cause there were two lights next to the shifter
cholamuchachita 1 year ago
Yup, those are some bright ones on the older IC CEs, and the IC FEs and REs.
9sb19 1 year ago
@9sb19 yea the definetley are. when i had my old ce300 the 2003 when it was a dark morning they would light up the whole driver area
cholamuchachita 1 year ago
I agree. Mine will light up my driver's face, completely.. along with the gauges.
9sb19 1 year ago
@9sb19 yea there super bright lights
cholamuchachita 1 year ago
Agreed. But, it's a good, yet bad thing. You want them to be visible and seen, but not blinding.
9sb19 1 year ago
@9sb19 yea cause you dont want to be distracted and take your eyes off the road
cholamuchachita 1 year ago
No. You never want to take your eyes off of the road.
9sb19 1 year ago
@9sb19 yea exactly they should have dimmer lights on them
cholamuchachita 1 year ago
Well.. it all depends. Sometimes, yeah.. sometimes, no. I like them bright. Especially on the bus.
9sb19 1 year ago
@9sb19 yea thats true lol
cholamuchachita 1 year ago

Aw man, that blows! Why did they pull that one on you? Hm, so which would you like more, the RE or the CE?

I think it may be, but I'm not fully sure. I've never seen them in use, however. I was just wondering. How do you like the engine brake? Is it handy?
9sb19 1 year ago
@9sb19 yea it is really handy whenever you take your foot off the gas it will drop you a gear to help slow you down. the mechanics like it to lol cause u dont have to use the brakes as much and so it helps save the brakes
cholamuchachita 1 year ago
Yeah, I can understand that. Well, lol.. my CE will drop a gear.. if you yank your foot out then floor it, lol. Mine's pretty good.
9sb19 1 year ago
@9sb19 yea lol that haooens with some of the ce300s without the engine break lol
cholamuchachita 1 year ago
Yeah, I could understand that completely, lol. I love mine without it.
9sb19 1 year ago
@9sb19 yea either way there still the best busses
cholamuchachita 1 year ago
Totally agree, lol.
9sb19 1 year ago
@9sb19 yea it dosent matter at all when ce300s dont have engine brakes. what matters is what great buses they are.
cholamuchachita 1 year ago
Yeah, mine doesn't, but I still love it.
9sb19 1 year ago
@9sb19 yea but there ce300s are great buses in general
cholamuchachita 1 year ago
They are. Just period, they are. I love it so much. To me, I'd have it first in the C class. They're made for the driver and for all drivers, not just one in general, made for all. I love the set up and the feel better than any other type C.

@9sb19 yea they are mad for the drivers. there the best buses to drive there so comfortable
cholamuchachita 1 year ago
I completely agree with you. Everything was made for, around, and set into a perfect place for the drivers.
9sb19 1 year ago
@9sb19 yea it is no buses out there cancompare
