Great piece of BMX racing history! What year did the first organized BMX race take place in Utah and did a local bike shop or the Jaycees or the YMCA organize the race? What did they call the race that you entered? I'd like to see and hear more about it... Thanks!
@thebmxdocumentary It was Aug 1975 the Sandy City Police and the Ladies Auxiliary stepped in to help with booth. and drinks..it was called in the Local paper "Bikes,Boys and Police spell Motocross Fun" i finished first place and won a Huffy Bike..i raced three years ..or summers and won every year..i have the original paper from the day of the race 'jordan Valley Sentinel" dated Thursday August 28th 1975..
BMXUTAH has talked to me and they are still racing in Farmington Utah.
