How the f can you compare that to the M5? You could've have least said the RS6. Dont get me wrong, i love BMW and it's M's. Yes the A8L W12 is a lot heavier with its massive engine and heavy body + quattro, but its made for the exact opposite than the M5.

@olaf2046 I think after the 0-60mph time which is very impressive it will really take off! this big of an engine with twin turbos should create a great deal of power...like other turbo cars they probably control the amount of power at lunch so you don't waist time spinning tires. And after.. the full force will come into the game. Bmw always play safe it will probably do easily 4secs flat in cold days probably 3.9 and with a chip 3.5 just like the 3series one chip can change the entire car.

actually what cadillac did they buy a bmw m5 and built the cadillac around it.. they use the corvette engine but still wasn't enough to par with the m5 so their next step to supercharge it (aka put it on steriods) lol that's the only way cadillac,benz or audi can compare to bmw normal aspirated engines. what if bmw add a supercharge to the v10 it would be bye bye to all. but guess what the new 2012 bmw m5 is even faster and bmw could get more hp out of it but the remain at 560hp and 500lb torq

What matters is in gear acceleration, and this is where M5 wipes the floor with any sports sedan in the world. Its got 680 Nm of torque available from 2000 to 6000 rpm, which is ridiculous.

I see out of all the videos ive watched of the new F10 M5, your the only person that has a clue. A different car with a different mission, i couldnt have said it any better myself. I love both BMW's and Mercedes-Benz, but it seems like every person on these comment boards are always arguing that one brand is the best and the other car company sucks. I personally love both.

@Amgbenz0 The venerable 5.5l kompressor AMGs ... can't believe you got it of it! I was very close to getting an E55 instead of the M5, but in the end went with my childhood dream of owning an M. The E55 would be more satisfying to drive on a daily basis, based on the torque alone but also the interior refinement, and superior Command system. Love my M, but as a result, my DD is a C-Klasse ... Gute Fahrt" my friend; we think alike!
