there were WAY to many women with AIDA first- there should just be 3 or 4. also, AIDA spoke extremely fast- she should take her time. but, the guy who played radames was really good- he got up really high!
A couple of problems.. besides the fact that, as previously mentioned, there was little to no choreography and energy, Radames dodges the high A at "Distant PlaCES call to me"... and is this ancient Egypt or pre-industrial Japan?
im glad who ever directed the show took there own artistic approach (sarcasm). the choreography was, wait there was no choreography. every single person just stood there as well as the kid playing radames. c'mon get into the song and, here's a concept, act.
wait wait wait --- I didn't know they carried samurais ans wore galosches in ancient egypt!! SOrry guys, I had to --- ok don't just stand there, that sword bit was awful -- I can't watch anymore
Okay, I know why this didn't work out. There was 1 person siging the first tenor part, who is obviously just a high-ish baritone, and that's just not cool. As someone who gets put in that position pretty much every musical I do...I feel for ya.
See there is this thing called vibrato. Overall nice. I gave a thumbs up

browneyedbeauty007 3 years ago
Not bad vocals, but the stage action all looks very rehearsed, they all look very bored on stage...

agree... everythings a bit slow there... there isn't a real choreography in this scene here... But that radames was pretty good... (for a student)

i agree that the vocals were good, but i was bored watching it. yeah no choreography, just walking around. Just a highschool show.

it wasn't written as an A, Adam Pascal just likes to show off.

It's the same note that Will Chase, Jeremy Kushnier, Matt Bogart, and all the other pro Radames' hit.
pariah1982 5 years ago
Say if his high A sounded like a small feline being brutally tortured with a blunt ax. Would it be preferred for him to dodge it, or belt it?

you guys need a lot more energy
