@fourquods I dont usually blend with an eraser. You probably saw me using a blending stump for it. However, I do erase to make highlights in the drawing. And I upload videos about every week. I am not sure sure about this weekend though. I am going to be away.
@TylersArtShack These drawing videos are awesome. Just wondering, can you make a drawing video of an ocean scene, maybe, the point of view of looking out into the sunrise/sunset shining off the ocean while on a boat or maybe a cliff? That would be something I would like to see. Just a suggestion.
@XxDeapAbyss funny you should say that. The next drawing I have been working on is that exact thing. I am drawinf a beach with some palm trees and some cliffs in the background. I don't know when I will finnish it. I already probably have 3 hours invested into drawing it with another few to go on it.
could you show us how to do a drawing like this using only 1 pencil, obviously with different pressures, i wondered if it could be done or u definately need 3 or 4 different pencils to get the desired effect, great drawing by the way :)
@wildwelshman22 I am trying to think of the best way to answer this. Ill put it this way. Yes you can use 1 pencil to do almost any drawing but it would become a hassle at times. You can do the skies rocks and things like that but If you want to get fine details, you need that range of pencils. You dont need a lot of pencils. But you need a few to get effects that you cant do with just 1. Ill be making a tutorial in the future on the benefits of having a range of pencils vs only 1.
Yea same goes for me could you please upload the waterfall drawing tutorial and kind of slow it down so I am able to follow. I want to draw that to real bad. Thank you so very much.
PS You did a nice job Tyler. I found your other tutorials easy to follow.
@AlicevsNemisis I will be doing many tutorials. I have a growing list of things I want to do. Ill be covering how to draw a waterfall for sure. Hang in there!!! thanks for writing!
@TylersArtShack Alright thanks man i really appreciate it. Just message me when your about to do it. Cause that mountain waterfall looks fantastic to draw.
Hi Tyler. First off, thank you for posting the tutorials. They have helped me greatly with my lanscape drawings. One thing though, I was wondering if you could do a short tutorial on how to draw roots. Mine looke all right, but they are rough, and I'm sure I'm not the only person who has had trouble with drawning the roots. I will post my best landscape on your Facebook fan page under: Drew Brasington. Thanks a lot.
Hi Tyler, This looks great! You're right, the tree really balances it out. My suggestions for more tutorials are some still life drawings. I really enjoy watchingyou doing the oil pastels. I think that's really your medium. I haven't seen too many other people get the results you do. Also, some more sky, cloud tutorials would help me out. Maybe showing storm clouds, clouds in bright sunlight etc.
Thanks again for sharing your skills and information.
Oh sweet, I didn't even realize you're back haha. Last time I saw your channel you hadn't uploaded anything in awhile. I'm glad I stay subscribed because you've definitely gotten better at making videos and drawing! Keep it up man!
@SilentDeath901 I always experiment with different styles of video making. This one BY FAR has had the largest impact yet. I got more likes on this in a day then I get on most my other ones in a month. I am glad you stay subscribed as well!
Ok Tyler....I would love to see you do a drawing on location! I have been drawing for years and have never done this. We live near the ocean and I crave to draw the boats, ocean and etc. I will be looking for this video from you! Great job!!!!
@carjaf I kinda sorta live near the ocean. That was one of my locations to hit when it gets a bit warmer out. I live pretty close to the ocean but if I want to go to a better beach, I have to drive about an hour or so.
iv been trying to draw a person for a wile and iv just been gettin mad cuz it just dousent turn out right and so are you able to make a video on how to draw a person like sepret vids
@gameman81 I struggle a lot with drawing people. I can only draw them in their most basic forms and even then they still frustrate me. If you really would like to draw people, check out this channel: kazanjianm He has over 180 vids all on how to draw. He even has the human anatomy on there.
@courtneyjade517 Haha, my hair is a bit crazy at times. Especially when I have my big headset on listening to music as I sketch. I didnt think it was too long either but the general youtube audience does not have a very large attention span. Thanks for the feedback!
Amazing drawing man love the mountains the only constructive thing I would say is try to use perspective more the top of the waterfall is out if perspective apart from that amazing stuff
@b41ny1 Haha, I get carried away when I draw things mostly from my head. And it gets difficult to keep following all the rules. But it that is also what makes sketching fun. You can just do whatever feels right. Thanks for the feedback!
Personally, I would be happy watching you do whatever you choose to do. I enjoy watching you draw and always look forward to every new video. So if you think that the "on location" idea is good, then you should do it. Sometimes as a youtuber, you have to the things you want to do.
@okimura690 Yes I will continue to do things I want to do as well. But It helps to guide me a long way to know what everybody else out there wants to see. Thanks for the feedback!
Great sketch my friend, I love your idea about going out and sketching and then doing more at home. It would show from start to end the process of creating a painting or drawing. I would like to see some landscapes and buildings that would go to an oil painting I got some oil paints for Christmas. Glad to have you back making videos.
@henrycems This would also help me to use up my massive amount of canvas I have laying around haha. I stocked up on them when they were cheap! What brand of oil paints did you happen to get? And I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
@TheAndrewBibby I myself think it would be Awesome. It would give me a chance to make some videos in a different location while bringing the viewers more variety in content.
You've got the skill, that's for sure. I think the only thing holding you back from racking up views is the lengths of your videos. With the exception of your tutorials, your videos would be more attractive if they were less than 4 minutes. Possibly speeding up paired with jump-cut editing will help. Great commentary voice, great drawings, long run time, good video, Tyler.
@OriginalSketch6494 Most of my speed drawings that I do upload are around that 4 minute mark. And those videos do rack up the views. This one I needed a bit more time to get the commentary going. This video is going to be like a "new beginning" The feed back I get from here will set up what happens in the future. And I will always continue to experiment with things. Thanks for the compliments! It takes me longer to make the commentary then it does to draw the picture haha.
great stuff! looked like you did some blending with the eraser, great idea, i'll be looking out for future videos!
