@yeshuahfullofit I was showing our oldest that very thing the day I recorded this; Blue Moon, Little Darlin' and about a million more. When I taught him A, D and E, I told him he could now play 99.9% of all country songs ever written, including the entire Hank Williams songbook. I love it all.

@irreverentreverend The very first song I learned on the git-fiddle was, House of the Rising Sun. I was 13. It had every damn chord in it except for a B. Good beginner tune. Am - C - D - F, Am - C - E-(E). Am - C - D - F, Am - E - Am -E. It has provided years of enjoyment and satisfaction ( we won't dwell on the disappointments - never played lead for shit).
