  • Ooohhh, I got goosebumps when it showed up in the 2nd move :)

(I wonder if this comment will post)

  • So now you have sultry wire legs covered in goose bumps? Take a pic and see if it will post to Twitpic for ya ;-) *fingers crossed this comment will stick* 1..2..3..Post!!!

  • Oh I loved my China Tea Set. Mine was Bone China with Roses and I've looked for it everywhere but have never found. So great you got yours back!

  • Have you tried looking online? After I made this video a friend of mine found another just like it on Ebay. It might be worth a little online search time.

  • What a marvelous video, Mo! Love your tea set ... and that is a treasure of a story!

  • Thanks :) It's such a little thing, but it makes me so happy.

  • That is awesome!-- to re-discover a beloved toy from ones youth, one that was believed lost, is just miraculous! I read an interview with Ray Bradbury once in which he said that he would never stop loving the things he loved as a child, I thought that was a wonderful sentiment, and it certainly seems to apply here!) Thanks so much for sharing! :)

  • Thank you :) It really means alot to me, and I agree, it falls into the miracle category. Returned and not broken, just like I remember it.

  • cool~~~~~~~~~~~~ :D

  • Thanks :)

  • its nice to be back and to see my old friends again.x

  • Aaaw I am glad you got it back sometimes little things means such alot. Nice to see you back xxx

  • Thanks for watching! It is nice to see you around here :)

  • very long time no see. well i was thinking snoopy when i sal it. peace. gregg

  • I think I took too long of a break! But something had to give....

    Thanks for watching!

  • What I mean to say was, "HI"!

  • hi. ha ha ha, I agree with you, HI

  • If you were a little boy you would have destroyed it. That's what us little boys do you know. Females are the creative energy and males destroy, but all creations come from previous destruction.

So it all works out. Boy did that get deep.

  • Interesting thought, but, we females do need males to help create. :)

  • Mo, this is really touching. I had a wee teaset once...got lost in life somewhere. I've missed you. hugs, Chris

  • It amazes me how such a small thing can have such a big effect on me. I feel like carrying the tea set with me everywhere I go (grocery store, post office LOL)

Missed you too! I took too long of a break.

    hugs

  • Cute tea set. Memories can be sweeter than the sweetest tea. :)

  • I agree! Thanks :)

  • Huh??? I did, am I missing something? :) It must be really really late where you are. :) Thats okay hon, you let me know what you want from me, and I will oblidge!

  • I am an idiot, I admit it, it was the tea I was smoking :)

  • Maybe it was the paint that rubbed off on the tea set into your tea? LOL Your so cute!

  • Sweet story...my eyes popped when you showed us it was still in the box! Nice to see you!

  • I kept it in the box after each use, it was my most treasured possession at that age :)

    Thanks for watching!

  • Welcome back to Youtube Mo :) I think you shoulda mugged your niece and run. :P

  • HA ha, I almost did, she has no idea how close she came to ending up in traction :)

  • Very cute my friend... our kids are just starting to enjoy their tea sets. It's fun to watch...

  • I am glad you have tea sets for them, reading through the comments here there are alot of grown women who never had tea sets as children and regret it. YAY DAD! (and Mom)

  • I still owe you one for the sneaky Xmas card btw... *evil grin*

  • Holy COW!!! Talk abou sneaky!!! How did you do that? You are amazing! THANK YOU!!!! muah muah muah!!

  • The timing worked out and I just thought it would be a fun little treat. (=

  • TEA PARTY!!!!!

  • YAY! When will you get here? I will have the kettle on.

  • Three things.

    1) I think you showed great restraint by not immediately wrestling your niece. lol

    2) This is lovely.

    3) Heffasaurus is extremely bothersome. 9 out of ten randomly surveyed people agree. Maybe. (This is not an exact science.)

  • 1) I gave my niece a huge china tea set for Christmas along with a big hug and a TY for sharing with me

    2) Thank you

    3) That Heather is truly bothersome and I think it might actually be 10 out of 10

  • Oh, that's so sweet. I'm glad you found it after all these years :-)

  • I never eralized until reading all these comments that this tea set is probably why I collect tea pots and tea cups, I was alwasy searching for my lost set :)

  • Oh my gosh, there you are. Your childhood memories spark memories of my own. Peace be with you.

  • Glad I could bring some memories back! (I hope they are good ones)

  • Wonderful heartwarming story, Mo. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  • Thanks! :)

  • mikma was here

  • we can have grape juice instead of tea :)

  • ha ha ha, notice how dark it is :) darkness is my friend, thinking about becoming a vampire....

  • I like that tea set, can I come over and have a tea party with you? :)

  • Of course, and instead of cookies you can have tylenol and motrin 800's

  • mmmmm motrin and tylenol.

  • If u bring the tea I'll bring the crumpets and we can have a jolly good show of a day!

    Thanx for sharing. :)

  • Sounds lovely! On my way!

  • Great story behind your tea set.

Your tag(s) are hilarious too (((heffa)))

  • Glad ya like the tags :)

    and thanks!

  • Ah, what fond memories we all have of youth. I had a 'tea set' of sorts when I was young, but alas it was confiscated by the DEA. lol

Thanks for sharing your chilhood memories with us, Mo. You had nostalgia written all over your face.

  • I tried washing that off my face, better get a stronger cleaner ;-)

  • lol - the oldest of residue, hardest to remove. But, I would think a mom would know how to clean anything off any face.

  • yes, spit and a hanky from the depths of a purse, why didn't I think of that before...

  • What precious memories watching this video brings back to me. I had a set similar to that, when I was little, too.

Thanks for sharing; it made me smile :+)

  • Glad to make you smile :) How happy such a small thing makes me and now it makes others happy too, bonus!

  • At the moment your mother handed it to your niece, did you have a deep internal 'No! That's MINE!" moment?

  • A screaming horrendous bawling out loud moment to be exact. But I kept it inside and pretended to be an adult. HARD!!!!

  • Ulcer in 3,2,1

  • That's a cute little set, can I use it next time I come by, probably around 2102?

    Your tags are hot btw.

    -JP

  • No, you cannot use it, but you can come earlier than 2102...

TY, I like those tags, something kinda catchy about them

  • No, that's not Snoopy but it could easily be a first cousin.

    Yay for toys!

  • I agree, it must be Snoopy's first cousin, maybe it's worth more now.....do I hear Ebay calling?

  • Awesome! Cool that you found it again!

  • Thanks! :)

  • Very cute Mo! I still have my little tea set too. Every once and a while I will get it out and Makenna and I will have "tea" with it. Thanks for sharing!

  • I only have stinky ole boys. However, when they were younger someone gave us a plastic tea set and we would have tea parties on the kitchen floor (with real food and juice, none of this pretend crap)

  • Is that a little dancing guy over your shoulder?

Very cute but we all know you pulled her hair and said IT'S MINE, GIVE IT BACK! :)

  • That little guy is some artwork my son made a long time ago, it is a permanent fixture now :)

I was tempted to beat her up, but I refrained...actually my husband held me back and screamed "Save the CHILD!!!"

  • such a cute little tea set!! how fantastic to have it back after allllllllllll (haha!) these years, must have brought back a flood of memories.

    :)

  • Tons of memories, I feel happy just looking at it, I don't even need to have a tea party with it LOL

  • Oh how cool is that?? You can always get your niece a new one - she'll probably prefer that anyway. Tell ya what though, it's just WRONG when the toys of someone as cool as you are in antique shops!!!!! Wrong I tell you, wrong!!

Congrats on getting it back though - you will enjoy it for years, just because of the memories.

  • I gave my niece a HUGE one for Christmas, she loves it. full service for 4 all the silverware :)

LOL about my toys being in an antique shop. I am OLD!!!

    (thanks)

  • I'm happy you got it back - it's in such wonderful condition too - I was so rough with my things so what I do have left is quite tattered.

  • I cherished this set, was almost fanatical about keeping it perfect, had to make sure it was absolutely dry before putting it back in the box. Sadly I am not that way now. Can you say lazy? LOL

  • What a sweet tea set!! Thanks for sharing that! When I was young, I always wanted a tea set. My little friend had one that she would "share" with me...but...she would get so bitchy and just pick it up and go! So, I wanted my own!! I told my mom that if I had one, I would always share it with the everyone! I never got that teaset...we were too poor...but I still enjoy seeing them...:-)

  • Caylyn you brought a tear to my eye! I never had one either and I had a friend who had EVERYTHING and she was a little bitch! Maybe that's why I have 8 million teapots today. lol

  • Ahhhh...sounds like you knew the same little spoiled bitch! LOL I would have to say that is exactly why you have 8 million teapots today...hahaha! *hugs*

  • :) I collect tea cups and tea pots too. Love them! This might be why, cuz I have been searching for mine for so many years.

  • We had very little money also, that is part of why that tea set is so precious to me. I think we all had a friend who was bitchy, why did we put up with them???

  • We probably put up with them because we couldn't drive to another friend's house...hahahaha!

  • yes!!! My bitchy friend lived within walking distance LOL!!!

  • Riddlespider it seem as if you really had alot of good memories with that tea set ,thank you for sharing that with us.

  • I spent hours and hours playing with that :) I am very pleased it is not broken, amazed actually,

  • so cute! i've always wanted a little tea set.

ps. love the tags ;) hahah

  • I was wondering when someone other than Heffa would notice them :)

  • That's cool. You know many year ago I used to be a little tea pot. Short and stout.

  • I refuse to touch your handle or your spout

  • When he spies a teacup,

    you will hear him shout.

  • You can tip him over and pour him out :)

  • That's really cool. It's funny how those little things instantly connect us with our inner child.Even if noone else remembers. It's a tangible touchable reminder that yes, we really were that young, and that even if everything else in the world has changed, that tea set hasn't. Thanks for sharing.

  • I think you described it perfectly. It is easy to forget that we were young at one time, but this tea set reminds me. Thanks

  • You actually brought a tear to my eye with this. :) How wonderful, there's nothing like childhood memories. So glad you got it back. :)

I remember when I was 5, my mother had bought me an inchworm for Xmas, she hid all the presents in a closet, well, she caught me peeking, so I DID NOT get that inchworm, I NEVER got over it, two years ago, my husband bought me my first inchworm. LOL

  • It is amazing how much impact a small thing can have on us, both good and bad. My brother used to chase me with a wind-up cymbal clashing monkey at my grandmother's house, they still make my skin crawl to this day.

  • Hello Riddle, it's good to see you again in good spirits and beautiful as ever!

(Looks around for that Tempest guy)

  • Beautiful eh? Ah pshaw, and LT does not care, looking is not the same as touching ;-)

  • I love your cute little tea set.. Nice to see you again too.

  • Thanks!

    hugs

  • I remember when I was a little kid growing up, my cousins and I would always want to have a tea party like in Alice & Wonderland using the tiny tea sets in the glass china cabinet.

That just brought back the good memories from when we were allowed to have a tea party! (With water... we were too young to actually enjoy tea yet!)

  • Glad it brought back good memories :) I usually had water in my tea parties but sometimes my mom would let me use Kool-aid. Sheer heaven LOL

  • How cool is that?!? You are a better person than I - I was waiting on the story of the scuffle with the niece :)

  • I wanted to rip it out of her hands and run like mad, but I didn't. I felt like I was a 2-year-old trying to not have a tantrum. :)

  • okay cool tea set.

now let's talk about your tags. WTF !?! lol

  • Tags? Tags? What about my tags? I don't see nuthin

  • dude. your tags had nothing to do with your video... honestly I am coming out in May for 4 days to kick yo *** <3

  • since when have you been one to care about the legitimacy of either tags or video categories????????

    MAY!!! <3333

  • Michele welcome back do you know you are still president and tell Val to say hi to me I am missing yee both.

    ps nice teaset.

    Shall I be mother LOL

  • Life gets hectic! I had to take a break from something :)

  • Of course I understand its just great to see you again, and on second thoughts you can pour the tea.

    Hugs from your Irish buddy.

    Wonder how the student is?

  • The student is taking 3 classes this quarter, we are lucky to even see his face anymore.

  • Sweet memories are like a fine bordeaux, both get better with age.

  • Exactly! I have so many memories of this tea set. Hours and hours of play :)

  • That is so cute!!

I am so happy you got it back :-)

    x hugs x

  • After seeing yours I had to show mine :) This makes me happy just looking at it. *sigh*

    hugs

  • my mum has the same thing for all the grand girls. The number of times I had to sit through cold imaginary tea & biscuits/cookies with them all, made me the mad idiot I am now! =) Love from Scotland Paul/Chef of nutters xoxo

  • imaginary tea is the BEST! Let's have a tea party!!!

  • I'll pretend to put the kettle on & put out the nice china for tea! Or would you prefer coffee? lol =)

  • I think I have had enough coffee today, let's have tea and some lemon cookies please

  • the kettle is on & the oven is warming up for the cookies. Would you prefer lemon tea or old stuff i found in the back of my car?

  • uhm, how about I bring the tea....

  • OMG! Spider! I used to have one EXACTLY like that! Thanks for the memories!

  • Cool! I am so pleased to have mine back :)
