Wow! I just want to punch half the "ethical hunters" that are talking smack about this video. One guy mentioned "one shot,one kill"?? It's a rabbit!!! It's only other fate is torn in half by coyote, talons through it's back and eaten alive, or run over by a car. I actually saw some pretty good shooting on some of them. I agree that a humane kill is the only way, but think about what you're saying before you talk! Jackrabbits get extremely overpopulated and this is just good fun.

I'm not sure in any of your guys realized this, but jack rabbits are good to eat. I have killed and eaten several hundred over the last few years and I have only killed one rabbit that even showed symptoms of being sick. They are not dirty or worthless. Go online and find some jack rabbit recipes and try one. I think that you will be surprised at how good the meat is. During the great depression jack rabbits were considered to be poor man's venison because it tastes a lot like deer venison.

man that looks like a blast. we went in illinois after the first snow this year and we shot 21 cottontails. The best day rabbit hunting ever. Pike county baby it's not just for monster whitetails. I also shot a 16 pt 7.5 year old 174" deer

I would be using either high bases 2 2/4" or 3" shotshells with #5 shot and a full choke. Instead of shooting 1,000 rounds for 10 rabbits. Just a suggestion.

Nah. Shotgun would tear up to much meat. I eat what I kill. If you go squirel or rabbit huntin' use a .22 or a .17. Down hear in Alabama I use a .22, it's good cause the rabbits down hear are pretty big.

i use the same type of gun. but my 10/22 has a bull barrel and synthetic stock that i use for goat hunting. the 10/22 IS the best 22 out there. i think you need a bigger clip for rabbit hunting try the shooters ridge 50 round mag, its really good becus its the same size as a 25rd mag
