  • is this after the starship troopers movie series or before? :P and why is there rico and diz in here?

  • Dizzy would have made it into the airforce...but she took an arm block to the knee

  • They should definitley remake starship troopers with today's technology

  • "I love crash landing".....

  • Comment removed

  • One MI is eaquel to 1000 bugs, but 10000 bugs to kill each human is a net win for them, lol, the book is so pesemistic

  • What I don't get is that if they know this is the bug homeworld, why don't they just drop hordes of those non-radioactive mega bombs all over the surface and then send MI to clean up what's left. At the very least it'll wipe out roughly half the bug population.

  • @TheLordmep i think so to. They should clear a landing zone with bombs first for a base and military army and give em all they got.

  • @TheLordmep have read the books? they cant just bomb a planet, they are there to understand the bugs, and to get as many as they can alive you wont get that by bombing, and they are underground, regular bombs wont work.

  • @TheLordmep Its cheeper to waste live, then use bombs

  • @wolfboyak Probably.

  • Starship Troopers, Book, published 1959

    Starship Troopers, Film, released 1997

    Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles 1999

    Halo, Game, created 2001.

It is more likely The Hornet from Halo looks like The Skimmer.

  • @Sharp7

Actually, they're both based on a real-life VTOL craft that never went into production. And, also, physics; there's only so many ways you can put a ship like that together and actually have it work. The way those two are shaped is one of those few.

  • @Straif5 Touche sir. You get a thumbs up from me. Research! My point stands that Halo came after SST.

  • @Sharp7

One you made well. I just felt like adding that note XD.

  • just wanna say one thing: florez's voice is the same as buttercup's from powerpuff girls.

  • @KILLRAIN42 damn right...same voice actor...live forever ape!lol

  • @KILLRAIN42

And Brutto's was the same as Coop from MEGAS XLR.

  • The grunt armour looks like Masterchiefs lol

  • @HGunner70 Apart from the fact this was like... 5-6 years earlier than they, if not even more :P

  • Damn that's brutal, A sect. 8 because she's grieving on the battlefield? Usually a soldier wouldn't even be told anything of a relative's status in action until after a major operation right? and if so wouldn't they be left out of combat to return home to mourn? I might be wrong so please correct me if I made a mistake.

  • or the hornet looks more to the skimmer

  • (sniff) why did Sargent Brutto have to get paralysed.

  • if the bugs have no tec, why is the operation so classified?

  • you guys i just noticed something Ibanez has crashed more times than most pilots in their lifetimes, not a good flight resume

  • actually HGunner70, that would be the hornet looks like a skimmer, stc came out before halo.

  • 4:40 , One man army

  • Carmen: "I love crash landing"...never would I fly with you. Get me Higgins

  • I love how two squads can take on a whole army....

  • Hold on is his neck exposed at 4:10? That compromises the suit's integrity, Klendathu's atmosphere isn't breathable for humans right? Cool metal eye guy.

  • @philipbabb

    Probably an animation glitch.

  • Did that alcalyne lake make the colour of her armor corrode? BTW did that bug poison they found ever get put to good use?

  • @philipbabb they used it all on the ice bug already..to kill the fireflies...so no sample taken..lols

  • @philipbabb

No. The asteroid they got it from turned out to be a bug itself.

  • "uninhabitable to for anything, even for bugs"

excuse me? bugs has lived anywhere and everywhere, including in vast space, but not down there? oh please xD

how storywriters became this realistic so suddenly xD

  • @Mkananoja they are mearly following the pattern of Intel always being WRONG like they are in almost every episode

  • @dominicano409 you break it you buy it.

  • now i feel like putting huge shields on my spartan in halo reach. because the troopers have them on this show.

  • Sgt Rock?!

  • pongale subtitulos en español por favor!!!

  • viejo, si pudieras ponerle subtitulos en español seria genial!!!

  • whos chass

  • C.H.A.S. was a cool epicly awesome robot in one of the earlier campaigns

  • can some1 tell me which campaign does C.H.A.S.S. get assigned to the roughnecks? respond immideatly if known(cuz its my fav campaign :))

  • @Karskin009 Tophet, 3rd or 4th part if memory serves.

  • @Failb0tResurrection ah thanks :)

  • Its the tophet

  • why can't they blow up the planet with a big boom and finish everything ?

  • Klendathu the bug HQ..... this is gonna be wicked!

  • This is where it all should end

  • @El1t3HUNT3R13 dude HELL no homefront ruled

  • How many different bugs are there? lol

  • Well, there's the warriors, which are the main fodder you see.

The ripplers are the flying ones, there's different strains of those though. One that's armored. One that spits spikes. And another that spits corrosive spikes.

There's also the giant momma rippler.

    There's the spiders.

There's the brain bugs of course controlling everything.

There's the controller bugs that burrow into you and mind control you.

There's the worms that dig tunnels for the controllers.

  • dont 4get zander. and the humanoid bug that fit in the troopers armor.

  • There's the plasma bugs. The one that fire those giant blue plasma blasts.

There's the giant flamethrower colossus ones.

    There's the firefly bugs.

There's the seatiger ones, which are like giant swimming ticks.

There's the little bugs that travel with the brain bugs.

There's the tiny tick looking ones.

There's the giant transport bugs, that seem to be battleship size.

  • There's the ice bug, which is the size of a giant asteroid (they're apparently planet destroyers).

There's the leech bugs that live in the ice bug.

There's those bugs you see on the Skinny planet that one time. That look like tumbleweed, but unroll into big centipede looking things.

There's the nursery bugs, that eat things, and then pass that genetic info onto larva to make new bug breeds.

That's about all I can think of off hand. I might have missed some.

  • Carmen just needs to finally transfer to the MI, I mean she has more combat time than most Trooper, and she spends most missions on foot anyway.

  • @Bluehairedmerc plus, it seems she always fails at flying! haha XD

  • @wllmdu Agreed. How *many* planes has she crashed anyway?

  • @SailorStar9

At least 4 individual ones...and the same dropship TWICE.

  • wow is he a zombie or a mutated solider

  • is it just me or the video HAS better quality that the last time i watched it like 4 months ago o.0?

  • I'm going to miss bruto :(

  • babylon 5 quote applies nicely, in this case: nuke 'em till they glow then shoot 'em in the dark"

  • they should nuke the planet

but it will be wise to study its orgin

    and the brain bugs

  • anyone notice how carmen crashes everyrthing she flies?

  • Bug Flak is also terribly hazardous Carmen was lucky that the damage she suffered was minimal. Most Grazes like that would take out the entire ship.

  • they seem to have no aircover

  • why does Carmen always ending up crashing?

  • bad luck lol

  • bruno got his legs crippled but it looked like he crippled his left side in a door

  • haha D-Day

  • wow rip off of a tyranid broodlord

  • what happened to bruno

  • ok nuking it is good for human k\life but not resures, but the better thing is nuking the FUCK OUT OF IT!!!!

  • so much for intel and sicon. Its a war of survival. Thats why SICON does'nt care if the losses were great. It is a kill or be killed in their galaxy.

  • if 1 squad can do all that damamge why do they need armies?

  • so is this taking place near the first movie?

  • "You know how we say 'When they made Razak, they broke the mold'?"

    "Yes?"

"Rockford's the guy who broke it."

    HUH????

  • I think Rockford was Razak's LT or Squade LEader when he was jsut a private.

  • thats the first death of any soldier ive ever seen

  • "I love crash landings"

So that's why she always crashes, she does it on purpose

  • Rofl Masochistic bitch

  • OMG she looked and sounded SO much <3<3<3<3 at 4:37 :P

  • The military, any military would try to secure their target area first. What S.I.C.O.N. does is deploy expiditionary forces to the planet below, evaluate possible locations for a BaseOp. Then begin to spread and secure. Also, militarys also plan incase a total wrought happens. If they cant secure with an "Acceptable" ammount of loses than they would render the area unusuable to the enemy as well. Since were talking about a planet, most likely Nukes or perhaps they could deploy a Planet cracker.

  • Too much Dead Space, eh?

  • Well of course a space opera setting would have nukes and planet crackers regardless? :P

  • The Moritas have no Ironsight! That must suck!

  • Seriously, think before you speak, people. Nuclear weapons? Do any of you fully realise theimplications nukes have on the areas they hit? Take a good look at Chernobyl and you'll start understanding!

They don't use nukes or high powered weapons such as that because Sicon would actually like to USE the planet after nits cleared of bugs - not bathe in centuries worth of built up radiation pools and wastelands

  • Klendathu is THE Bug planet-No one wants it to survive, they want it dead.

But regardless, the book and movies imply that nuclear and medical technology has advanced to the point that fallout is not an issue.

  • Dude...this is some distant (I assume) planet occupied entirely by enemy forces of which there is no such thing as civilians or society which we care to save/rehabilitate afterward. Use the planet? Have you seen all the other human-untouched planets they've come across? I think possible resource/colonization use for the planet is very much the least of their concerns when it comes to a galactic war -_-

  • To summarize, who the hell would care about practical uses of some distant bug-infested homeworld. Nuke the damn thing! But alas, that wouldn`t make for as interesting or extended a series. Hence the completely retarded, wasteful, and difficult ground invasion. A sane real-life military would not do this in this situation. Orbital nuclear bombardment = 0 loss of human life and a vast saving in time and resources.

  • "Nuke it!" - the solution for all small-minded people.

Have you ever thought that humans could have the opportunity to settle on the planet, for a number of reasons? Strategic location, farming, precious minerals et cetera)?

Nuking a planet mean humans wouldn't be able to live there either, after the bugs were cleared out - that's the reason they always sent in the MI

  • Yes, but not nuking it would cost thousands of irreplaceable MI lives, all for a planet in a galaxy full of millions of planets. Simply wanting to settle there is an obsolete reason for not nuking it.

  • Have you ever thought thatdespite for your own views, that by not nuking a planet, such a planet could be stategically important in later campaigns in the war, in which the MI and their counterparts could use as a base of operations against the Bugs (if they ever succeeded in cleansing the Bug homeworld?

Nuking it would be a waste not only for future colonisation but military and strategic purposes for future generations.

  • @gribae

In future, nukes can be radiation-free.

  • @GeneralWildDog Antimatter has the strength of a Atomic bomb but no radiations.

  • @Kevinyock

I think their "nukes" are actually some advanced MOAB.

  • @GeneralWildDog

A "clean" nuke, yes; all the power, none of the fallout. Uses an element with an extremely low half life, I believe.

  • why didn't they just nuke the damn planet?

  • My thoughts exactly, wtf this is futuristic space warfare against an entirely hostile distant planet. Just nuke the whole damn thing! It'd take all of 10 minutes. In fact, they could do the same to other planets they discover which only have bugs on them and nothing else of apparent usefulness.

  • i love hot female pilots who love crash landings. :D

  • YAH!

  • Wait. So a Section 8 is a Hardship Discharge now? Wtf.

  • Aww... Tommy Pickles' brother died.

  • Why don't they fucking nuke the damn place already...

    Jezus...

    but hey, great show

  • You read my mind, its called glassing the planet with enough nuclear weapons to turn bugs into a 3 letter word.

    I'm president Ackerman

Vote for me if you want to live.

  • What were the big bugs in the lake called? they also appear in the homefront campaign

  • rhino bugs

  • is the sarge gone forever?

  • if I want a fairytale I'll read cindarella

  • Seriously, I didn't like a single one of these shows. They make the bugs weak and lethargic, and the humans gods. I would've liked it better if they kept it R or better yet, NC-17, because this just isn't starship troopers without dismemberment. It's too goofy; The alien's feet hover at 9:15.

  • ibanez can't fly worth shit

  • "alright zulu", "yeah i love those guys"..haha

  • why? i dont get it who are those guys

  • zulu squad is as good as the roughnecks

  • ah ok, but did they were mencioned before this chapter?

  • no, they're new

  • ah ok thanks, and sorry to bother but what rico said to t'phai when he asked who was that squad? i didnt understand that part

  • she is the master of fucking cant fly

  • damn! this show is alot beter then the movie. i can't wate to see wut hapens now that thay have gotten to a batel that realy hapend. lets see if it is beter done.

  • man this is the best cgi cartoon ever!!!

  • dude, carmen really iss the queen of crash landings

  • "Intel worng?!?!?!?! what are the chances of THAT??" lol (min 7:38)

  • Very huge.

  • This is the bug's homeworld and they... don't glass it from orbit?

Important action campaign and all, but COME ON!

  • Think they dont bother because of the tunnels below it's surface.

  • Wow the first time I see the luitenant and already I'm thinking wow what a badass

  • all the chicks have big boobs and they use every chance they have to show that.

  • like they should. of course. what, are you complaining???

  • Starship troopers 3 is a crappy movie but they do nuke the planet... and it works.

  • man she wastes alot of the federation's tax payers money those things are expensive and she crashed her 3rd one

  • I noticed they use a lot of stock footage. as with the troop deployment and the Klaxons(alarms) starting to sound.

  • It was a sort of low budget show, and considering how well written and well done it was...I think we can forgive some stock footage here and there

  • 'Can't shoot what I can't see.' As if the visor dangling in front of your helmet wasn't a dead give away... Did the plasma burn fry her helmet? And how did they get out of those drop pods so fast?

  • its a cartoon you never now they could be like super fast and shit.

  • its a planet of nothin but bugs right?

so why the fuck didnt just nuke it?

would make more sense, this is what it would have been like if we had invaded japan back in

    wwII

  • the queen and more bugs are underground you cant nuke them because you cant reach them

  • dday, hhour, kick ass....

  • "I love crash landings"

It explains why she crashes more often than not

  • NEVER ASK "WHAT ELSE CAN GO WRONG" that is always followed by something going really wrong.

  • Murphy's Laws of combat, murphy was a GRUNT.

  • a guy dies on 4 :47

  • is this like the last campaing of the series?

  • No, the Home Front Campaign is next and Last

  • if i was head brass i would just NUKE it and be doen with it =)

  • Yeah, its not like Klendathu is strategic or would make a viable base. I'd just strap a dozen of the biggest warheads together, find the deepest canyon on the planet and blow it in half.

  • And have a two floating rocks in space filled with bugs?

  • I figure a blast big enough to crack a planet in half would destroy 90 to 99% of the bugs, especially the big ones. Maybe some of the Warriors would live, but they aren't a threat if they can't leave the planet.

  • Why have they never used NBC warfare on the bugs, is less messy with less colateral damage and there's no geneva convention to deal with either.

  • Probably since they are bugs, lots of NBC Warfare weapons wouldn't work. Radiation wouldn't do diddly, and the closest they came to chemical was that NP-7 stuff that was basically Super Strength RAID. And with their biologies so different, I'm not sure if they could come up with anything that would work on them. But, that's also why they keep capturing as many bugs as possible, to find stuff that will kill them. I stand behind my planet breaker idea. The bugs left alive wouldn't be a threat.

  • Yea I'm with the super strength RAID chemical bomb instead. Aerosol can that shit

  • Hey can you send me the seasons need them to give to my lil bro for x-mas

  • I hear these people all the time that "I wish it were real gunfire!" They're pulse rifles! The weird laser noise is a linear accelerator, or railgun. Also, the lines you see may be tracers.

  • Yeah and imagine a M4 against a bug...lol that won´t do mutch damage to it except makin it really mad^^

  • Since an M4 rifle shoots the 5.56x45 round also known as .223cal. I would agree that it has very low power lets say againts something the size of a deer or a bear but that's only in the effect of stoping power a 5.56mm would still kill the bear from bleeding wounds.

One question how big are the arachni bugs the size of a human,a small car, tank what? Still the pulse rifles are very poor even with a 7.62x51mm you can stop a car by hitting the engine block with one or two shots

  • dizzie has big boobs

  • omg ppl actually died, or looked like it, finall. srry i forgot to add that.

  • why is are there privates, sgt. the lt. i dont get it. i understand like 2 sgt. and 1 lt per squad but it doesnt make any sense to me.

  • Actually it should be a 1Lt. per platoon that's 50 men one Master sargeant and one sgt.per squad with a corporal assisting they might also have lance corporals for half-squad, a squad should be compose of 12 to 13 men half a squad is a team or detail depending if you're infantry or cavalry. The difference is method of fighting cavalry fights on the move infantry holds or assaults a position, when combine it becomes a deadly force cavalry protects the flanks of the infantry

  • aww, why doesnt dizzy and rico get together? they are such a cute couple.

  • razack rocks exsept in the movie he dies in the beginning

  • Oh wow I remember this show, loved it so much, but I hated the sound of gunfire from the marines' rifles. I wished it had the sound of real conventional gunfire though.

  • please section 8 dizzy her voice is anoying

  • Why they dont just send tons of misseles????????

  • think about economy and money...

can you afford tons of missiles?

    with fuel?

with some suicidal guy to actually send them?

    I THINK NOT

then again theres always 1% chance...

  • Actually, a big enough asteroid might do the job... against most of the bugs anyway. Lots of big enough asteroids would wipe out the majority of the bugs on Big K, with only the deepest tunnels left mostly intact. It might also give the bugs the bright idea to bomb Earth with asteroids as well.

  • During the Cold War, the two superpowers, USA and the USSR had enough of a nuclear arsenal that we could kill all life on the surface of the planet.

Why wouldnt SICON have the same? Its not like they crap out on the budgets. I mean, look at the equipment each trooper has, the fleet of ships they can field, the expensive guns, armor, ammo, dropships.

What possible reason is there that they cant afford a few nukes that they probably have from out times?

  • Actually they mention this in the book, maybe the movie as well.

The reason is simple, you can nuke the surface of the planet till you have nothing left and it won't do any good as the "queen" is deep below the ground. To win this war you have to send down troopers and peel the planet like an onion one layer at a time.

Now if they had a death star grade weapon that can reduce the entire planet to rubble in one shot then a manned invasion is a waste of resources.

  • Actually, they say that they have Nova bombs, which "crack open a planet" or something like that, but that bomb was developed later in the war.

  • And besides...you think earth has all the resources that they need for all those ships and suits and weapons? If they just start smoking planets, they could lose valuable resources for the rest of human kind, or turn a planet that could have supported more terran colonies into a wasteland. The bugs own to many planets to just drop bombs, nukes don't solve anything, especially in an inter-planetary war like this one, as they say "Troopers Count"

  • Earth should have lots of resources, planets are huge rocks of basically resources and living space. And even if for some reason Earth is off limits for mining or whatever, the asteroid belts has resources to last us billions of years, and so do other planets, just not as long.

They say Troopers Count not because they are low on resources, but because they care about their soldiers. Same thing as our real world armies who have the "No man left behind" ideology.

  • y dont the fleet blow the planet but than again they are under constant plasma fire

  • Is it just me, or is Carmen becoming a worse pilot as the show progresses? She was fine to start with, then in the Zephyr campaign, she hit an Icicle, and in this she gets hit by plasma. It's not like you can't see it. IT GLOWS BRIGHT BLUE.

  • No, she got hit in the book, due to the increased amount of fire. I have played enough flight sims, (Star Wars, Star Trek, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000-X). Also, realize they were going through the atmosphere, there isn't alot of maneuvering ability, and your basically going at it headon. Notice, just before it hit, she adjusted, as far over as possible, so it barely hit. It could have obliterated them, but she avoided it. She was also self-confident, unlike most previous crashes.

  • She's not worse. She's getting a little bit better.

Although she DOES crash in every campaign...

  • I gotta say it at least once in the series, it's just too cool ><

    Live Forever, Apes.
