You hear this sometimes with any digital transmission. It's happened to me before when calling someone but we just end the call and simply call them back and everything's fine. Then the person will tell me they either heard it too or nothing at all. Certainly nothing to be afraid of.
Although I don't know specifically what causes it, it HAVE head it many times over the years only on digital systems.

Hi, im John and im in a special military strike force. that was no WHITE noise. Depending where you live, that is a code sent out from a secure phisility. For Ex.: I heard one of those codes in a helicopter flying over a strange looking area in a deset in Utah.
