@bladerunner162 Not Mg 42 XD Its an MG 3... its hard to see the different between the two MGs , but it is a Mg 3 ( germany tuned all Mg 42 up to Mg 3 , so there is no Mg 42 existing anymore^^ )

I spotted an oopsie. The smart gun is supposed to have an ammo drum, not a belt.

@Olafzombie Ammo drums feed belts. Stationary guns feed from a crate and mobile weapons load drums. Just like modern LMG's.

the bullets are connected by a belt which comes out of the round drum clearly seen at 0:32

@Olafzombie in the movie, the gun had a ammo belt as well as a ammo drum, it can be seen in the first battle when vasquez and drake are clearing the pathway to the apc.look for " HICKS: cmon lets move it!!! VASQUEZ AND DRAKE: blast!!! alien on ceiling explodes.

@Olafzombie also, the ammo belt is the last of the ammo belts rounds , the ammo belt starts in the ammo drum , goes into the ammo feeder, ends outside the weapon for addiitonal space.
