i just read the book, i really dont believe that the diaries are real. not 2 say the story aint true, cos it is, but i dont think 4 a minute that thru that period in his life he kept a journal in such detail, then kept it 4 a further 20 yrs. its a great read, and a fantastic story of a very talented and cool rock 'n' roll motherfucker, but as a recovering addict myself, i know that its hard 2 focus on anything 4 a week let alone a year. however, luv u nikki, keep up the good work. crue 4 ever!!!

That's what I was wondering. HOW? I'm a recovering addict, and have kept journals and diaries for YEARS. At my deepest point, I was so fucked up that I could never write, or I would forget. But I think with the touring, it's easy if you don't leave you're hotel room. But at home? hRmm? have u read the book? he openly says that he just hurriedly wrote the girls album so he could go home and get wrecked. i loved the book, but find it hard to believe that he kept a diary during this time, and then that he still had these "scraps of paper" and journals, but had "forgot" about them until he looked in the garage. i dont know of any addicts i know who could keep a diary for more than a couple days without losing interest. when u r an addict, being an addict is ur whole life, 24-7
