@KEEBOB2 Google app is what replaced the youtube app. I think Google has kinda hurt the youtube brand, but whatever, its what we have for now.

@murder7 Very true, but they all want to control the apps. Its an opportunity to skim profit off the apps. I don't mind that, but if they are pulling in a lot of money on the apps, then the devices need to come down in price!!

I have a bold 9000 & 9700, tour 9630, curve 8520, storm and storm 2. I prefer the storm over the keyboard ones. I'm betting RIM will release a touchscreen/keyboard hybrid, maybe like the droid design but a BlackBerry. That would be the perfect device for me.

They are working on it. It's called Magnum and will be released June 2010 or so. It has the same form as the old Bold but without the trackball and has a clicky screen like the storm.

I have upgrade the os the BB works so much better now.. I am considering switching to the BB Storm2 but it would be $140.00 more and I am not really sure the differences are worth that esp since the new os works soooo much better!

I have upgraded my phone to the new 5.0.0.328 os released by verizon they released an upgraded version of pandora i love this new os now sence pandora works on it. yet it still has glitches and stuff in it with some of the apps but they are minor anoying but minor

OS 5.0 is coming soon! Faster and slightly getter on battery life. The Storm 2 comes with the 5.0 but if you have the Storm 1 like me you can still take advantage of it.

it depends on how many apps you use at once and how often you use it... i do average texting/calling/ and use of internet and maybee some youtube during the day and can get 12 hrs out of it

Mines about a days worth... if i charge it over night...and just use it for the regular things(calls, txts, internet here and there....) But yeah its about a days worth for me... But i don't mind cause its a smartphone so its understandable after all your doing if it kills the battery...

is it a lang null pointer error? That is *usually* tied to network coverage / provider. It could also happen if there are too many apps open.

I think so. There have been a number of improvements to the service since I made this video. Well worth the download. You can have all of your phone numbers go to it.... kind of like Google voice without waiting on the invite!

The storm does not have wifi, so you are out of luck with that. You need to have a data plan with Verizon (or if unlocked with TMobile/AT&T). The cheapest plan with Verizon is $29.99, the BlackBerry Internet Service plan. Check with the VZW about company discounts. There are tons of them out there, so check it out where ever you work (or ANY family member) works, or perhaps student, military, etc discounts. They have them... usually 10-15% a month.

No. This was a VZW request, to have the ability removed. It IS going to be in the Storm 2 and every BlackBerry that VZW carries in the future (after the Tour) will feature wifi.

Good question - to each is own. The iphone has a ton of apps. Some are pretty useless, others are awesome. Same can be said for BlackBerry, however a lesser overall amount. Most BlackBerry apps integrate with other BlackBerry apps nicely and a developer does not have to pay RIM to create one. The storm offers true real time email. The iphone does not. That is usually the selling point most of the time.

Yes, internet access is included with your BlackBerry data plan (which is required by vzw).

Go to Verizon, pick one up, activate it, call them for the unlock and presto you can have it on AT&T or T-Mobile. Yes you'll have a 1 year or 2 year commitment to VZW, but you can always buy out of that for a max of $175. I use this device on Verizon. I happened to have it on AT&T in the video, but there is no comparison to having it on Verizon's EVDO network.

Did your account go to Verizon or AT&T? Either way, you can always go to VZW and pick one up for either network. You just need to have it unlocked to work on GSM.
